Noelle's POV
I was in the kitchen cooking eggs when suddenly my phone went off. I moved away from the stove and quickly grabbed it from the island.
I slid my finger across the screen and balanced the phone between my shoulder and ear while turning back to the stove to make sure the eggs didn't burn.
"Hello?" I greeted the person on the other side. I hadn't checked who it was.
"Hey it's me. Please tell me you're coming," a deep voice spoke in a thick accent.
I laughed, "Of course I am but I still don't understand why you need me there. You can do it by yourself," I said while moving the eggs from the pan to a plate.
"I've already told you before why I need your help so just get your arse over here," he grumbled.
"Stop being annoying, I'll be there in a little bit," I said before hanging up. I put my phone down on the island again before grabbing my plate and taking a seat. I ate my breakfast while taking my time.
Last week I had given Stephen a few contacts he could use to help him buy a house. He had gone and checked out a couple of places before finally settling on a penthouse which was kinda close to my place. It was like a 10 minute drive. He had already bought the place and wanted me to go there and help him. He had gotten the place painted and fully ready. All he needed to do was just add some more furniture and empty his boxes. I don't know what he needed my help with but I was going anyway, I had nothing better to do.
I put my dish in the sink before going back to my room. I slipped my boots on and grabbed my purse before making my way out of the house. I reached my car and quickly put on my seatbelt before driving to his place.
I reached within 10 minutes and walked out towards the entrance of the building. I entered the elevator and hit the button for the top most floor. I waited patiently while leaning against the side. The elevator moved up at a slow speed and finally stopped, letting the doors open.
I walked out towards his apartment door and knocked twice. The door opened after a couple of seconds and there he stood, wearing a dark blue t-shirt and black jeans. He ushered me in and closed the door behind me.
"Thanks for coming. I've been stressing out just by looking at the boxes," he sighed while running his fingers through his hair. He had left his hair natural today and it curled at the ends, falling into his face. His eyes were as green as always, sparkling and shining.
I rolled my eyes at him before turning to look at the paint job around the place. I had already been here before but back then it was just a simple penthouse with no furniture and paint.
The colors on the walls were light and made the place look even more bigger than it actually was. It was all whites, creams and neutral colors. It looked good. I walked further into the house after kicking my shoes off. There were boxes everywhere but other than that, it looked beautiful. There were big windows on the side which overlooked the city and made the sunlight shine through.
"How come you have so many boxes? Did you have all this shit back at the suite?" I asked while turning around to see him already looking at me.
He shook his head, "I had my stuff shipped here from London. I didn't bring everything when I came here but now that I got myself a house, I decided to get it shipped," he explained.
I nodded my head, "So this is it? You're staying here? For good?" I turned back and walked towards a window, looking at the clear sky.
He came and stood next to me, crossing his arms over his chest, "Yeah, I like it here."
