Noelle's POV

I woke up to my phone blaring out loudly across the whole room. I moved around in my bed and stretched my arm out to grab my phone from my dresser. I groaned before sliding my finger across the screen and answering it. I didn't bother to check who it was.

"Hello?" I spoke in a deep voice.

"Morning Ms. Grayson, this is Mr. Walker's assistant," I heard a lady speak from the other side. "I've been asked to inform you that you need to come to the office as soon as possible because Mr. Walker wants to discuss the interiors with you and Mr. James before we finally put out the orders," her voice was way too high for my liking but I decided to ignore that.

"Alright, I'll be there shortly," I informed her while sitting up in my bed and cracking my neck.

"Thank you, have a nice day," she said sweetly.

"You too," I said before hanging up.

I rubbed my eyes and thought about going back to sleep but decided to get my ass off of the bed and get ready. I walked into my bathroom and took a quick shower before entering my closet to pick out some clothes. I decided on keeping it casual because it was just Uncle Xavier, he knew how I was. It didn't matter so I didn't bother to dress up. I put on a pair of black jeans along with a maroon t-shirt before pulling my boots on. I went to the kitchen to get something to eat. After I finished my breakfast, I fixed my hair and applied some make up. I finally grabbed my purse and left the house.

It took me 15 minutes to reach Christopher Inc. and I quickly parked my car before making my way up to Uncle Xavier's office. I walked out of the elevator onto his floor and was about to go to his cabin but suddenly someone from the behind crashed into me. I moved a few steps forward but managed to keep my balance. I turned around to see who it was.

"You need to stop doing that," I narrowed my eyes at him.

"You're telling me," he tried to play it cool but figured that I wasn't in the mood so cleared his throat and started speaking again, "I'm sorry, I came up through the stairs and I didn't see who was standing right outside the door," he breathed out.

I nodded my head and was about to walk away but was stopped by him yet again.

"Noelle look I'm sorry about the other day. I shouldn't have been following you," he said sheepishly.

"Stay out of my business and we're good," I looked at him, "Now, shall we?" I gestured toward Uncle Xavier's cabin.

"After you," he said politely.

We both entered the cabin and saw Uncle sitting on his chair. He raised his eyes from the papers scattered in front of him to look at us.

"Noelle and Stephen, good thing you both got here quickly, take a seat," he switched his gaze back to the documents.

We both took a seat on the opposite side of his desk and waited patiently.

"Alright I want to go over all the interiors that you guys have picked. It's not that I don't trust your decision, I just need to make sure everything is proper," he said with a smile. "Also we'll have to do it quick because I've got an important meeting to attend," he moved the documents away.

All three of us got to work and I explained Uncle everything that we had picked out so far and all the other details related to it. He seemed quite impressed with all the choices and the colors.

Stephen stayed mostly quiet throughout the whole thing, not that I cared but he seemed a bit off. Oh well.

I was in the middle of explaining the details of the conference hall to Uncle when my phone rang loudly. I ignored it and soon enough it stopped ringing. I continued talking but was interrupted by my phone again.
