I woke up with a slight headache which reminded me of last nights events. I had a little too much to drink but it was nothing a glass of water and Advil couldn't fix.

I sat up in my bed and ran my fingers through my hair. Last night was definitely fun. I didn't think that I would actually like the Blake guy but he was pretty cool. After I came to realize that he was only Rose and Kathy's friend, all the distaste that I felt towards him disappeared. I was more than happy when I found out that he was gay. I was shocked too, you could never possibly tell that he was gay. I never saw it coming.

We all got to know each other a lot better. Kathy and Aaron talked the whole night and I learned that Blake was a lawyer which was again, pretty cool. Rose joined in on the conversations occasionally but for the most of the night, she was quiet. I wanted to know what was bothering her but I knew she wouldn't tell me.

At one point I think Blake got worried too because he whispered something in her ear and then kissed her on the forehead. Even though I knew that there was nothing going on between them, it still made me a little jealous. I was going insane. It seemed like he was very close with her and knowing the type of person that Rose was, it would take a lot for someone to actually get that close with her. She didn't trust easily, that I knew.

Throughout the whole night though, I kept wondering who the fuck was in prison and why Rose said that she was safe for now. That was weird. I was starting to think she was a mystery I could never solve. She had so many secrets and she wasn't gonna let me in on any of them.

She was warming up to me though. She wasn't so rude anymore, I mean she had her days but most of the time she was friendly and quite nice. I hadn't even realized that up until now. I guess she just took her time with things.

I grabbed my phone to see what time it was. Almost noon. Great.

I got out of the bed and walked to the bathroom. I needed to take a shower and get ready. I was gonna call Rose later and ask her if we could work today. I had nothing else to do.

After taking a shower and slipping on black jeans and a blue t-shirt, I sat down on the edge of my bed and called Rose. It rang for a couple of seconds before she finally picked up.

"Hello?" she greeted but it sounded more like a question.

"Hey it's Stephen. I'm hoping you aren't hung over because I thought that we could work today," I mentioned.

"Well I have a tiny little headache but we could work, it's fine," she tried to convince me.

"Alright then where do you wanna meet?" I questioned her. We usually met at the cafe or at my suite.

"You know," she seemed to be thinking, "Just come to my place, I'm way too lazy to drive anywhere right now."

I was shocked to say the least. I didn't even know where her office was and she was inviting me to her house? Was she okay? She never usually did that.

"Are you sure? We could go to the cafe if you want," I offered. I don't know why but it just felt weird. Going over to her place? Didn't she not want me to know anything about her? Where was this going?

"I won't shoot you I promise, don't be so afraid," she laughed.

Her saying that didn't help at all. She knew how to shoot a fucking gun. What if she just got mad at me for something and ended up shooting me in the leg? That would be just fucking lovely.

I shook my head. What the heck was I thinking? I knew she wasn't gonna shoot me.

"Alright where do you live?" I asked while getting up from my bed and walking into the kitchen.
