How it Happened (Christian Yelich | MLB Miami Marlins)

Chapter 26

"Come on babe" Nicole whispered. They were in the 12th inning. 

"Its a walk off! Christian Yelich has done it! Marlins win!" was announced over the speakers

Nicole jumped up and down celebrating with Mia. They once again were sitting in Diamond Club using Dee's seats. 

Will the security guard called Nicole down to the first row so she could be next to the dug out as Yelich went back in, which was next to the door that lead onto the field. 

Yelich made his way down the line of his team mates as they jumped on him celebrating as well. Then walked over to do his post game interview. A minute into the interview Phelps snuck up behind him  dumping a cooler of ice and gatorade on him. Which ended his interview. 

Yelich walked into the dugout yanking off his shirt that was dripping.. he was going to grab his stuff but then saw Nicole standing there clapping. Still on his winning high walked straight over to her up the few steps so that he was able to reach her. Grabbing her face between his hands and kissed her.  

"Go shower!" Nicole laughed 

Christian smiled at Nicole leaving to go join the party in the club house.

"Guess people saw y'all kissing soooo no more private relationship" Mia said

"Guess not" Nicole was still shock 

"Come on love bird. Tunnel" Jamal opened the door so he would be able to walk with Nicole over to the family waiting area.

A few of the families went to talk with Nicole while they waited. 

"By the way I know I'm taking you home tonight but your gonna be squashed between AJ and Giancarlo" Nicole told Mia as the guys walked towards them

"So I'm going in the back seat then?" Mia laughed

Ramos put his arm around Mia's shoulder "Yeah back seat with me and G" he smiled

"I can still kick you ass" Nicole said to him as she started to walk away

Yelich held her hand was they walked outside together

"Nic look to your left" Stanton said low .. Tessa was standing by the door to the garage

Nicole saw her and smiled .. continuing to walk with the guys. Christian signed a handful of autographs but didn't let Nicole leave his side more then a few steps away. When he was done he held onto her again. 

When they got to the car automatically everyone went to a specific side without even talking about who was sitting were. Nicole was driving, meaning Yelich got shot gun.

"What?" Nicole looked at Mia through the rearview mirror

"Is there a reason for this specific seating arrangement?" Mia laughed

"Well Im driving and since Im short and sit so close to the wheel. Stanton sits behind me for leg room. Ramos is just a tad bit taller then me so he goes behind Yeli. so no no real reason" Nicole explained. 

They talked random stuff while they drove to Mia/Nicoles house 

"Did you see the fathers day hats?!" Mia asked her sister

"Aren't they the same thing as the mothers days hat just blue?" Stanton said

"Pretty much" Mia said

"That just means that I need to get Christians game used one" Nicole said "and yes ill buy it if its not more then $100"

"aw that will be cute if you wear the pink one and then he still wears the blue one." Mia said "images when you guys have kids then it be the true meaning of mothers day hat and fathers day hat"

The guys were laughing at the girls

"Yes!" Nicole said "And then babe. we can use them for a gender reveal party. like we will up the hats on a pedestal and then when its time to say if a boy or girl .. either you or I will grab the corresponding hat.. like you would put on the fathers day one for a boy or id put on the mothers day one for a girl"

"that would be so cute!" Mia agreed

"Whatever you want babe" Christian just continued to laugh. he was getting used to Nicole and her sister coming up with crazy things

"But for real. you know she's getting that hat though" Ramos said

"I know." Yelich agreed
