Chapter 40

"Aren't you glad to be back in Miami?" Nicole picked up Christian and Collin from the airport

"Should we tell her now or later?" Collin asked Christian

"Tell me what?" Nicole said as she jumped into the passenger seat so Christian could drive his car

"You can put those Yelich Brave jerseys back in His closet" Christian said

"Why?" Nicole looked into the back seat at Collin 

"Im part of the Marlins Organization now" Collin smiled 

"NO WAY!" Nicole yelled

"Yep. Now you'll have an additional mouth to feed" Collin joked

"Wait but are you going to be in the 40 man roster or staying in the minors?" Nicole asked

"We'll see after spring training babe" Christian said

"Babe you coming with us or staying here?" Christian yelled across the apt

"Where you going?" Nicole came out of the bedroom

"Work out at the park" Collin said

"Let me put a tank top on" Nicole smiled

Normally families aren't allowed in the Marlins Club House but since it was the offseason Nicole was allowed to go into the batting cages and weight training room. 

"Do you plan on doing anything?" Collin joked

"you mean watching you two work out isn't doing something?" Nicole laughed

"She doesn't work out, I'm lucky she can throw a ball around." Christian told his brother

"Oh and I sometimes become his weights, he benchpress' me" Nicole hugged Christian from behind

"Hey I don't need to know all your sexual encounters" Collin said leaving the weight training room

They all headed to the batting cages

Nicole took her spot on the floor in the doorway and the boys set the machine to pitch balls to them

"Okay babe your turn" Christian looked at her once his machine ran out of balls

"Yeah okay" Nicole laughed "Ive never hit a ball in my life and don't plan too"

"We can pitch the balls to you if you" Collin said

"No.. ill set the machine to super slow" Christian dumped the bucket of balls into the back of the machine

After a few mins of them bugging her.. she agreed and got into the netting.. the first ball came at her and she missed

Nicole naturally went to the left side of the plate, so her dominate/stronger arm, the right, was in the back

"how fast is that?" Nicole asked "Im going to die"

"That was like at 50mph" Collin said "your not gonna die don't step in-front of the ball"

Christian placed her in a spot that she wouldn't get hit "Lower the pitch down to like 20 Col"

Nicole hit 3 out of 5 balls the first time around

"Good job babe! If they do a wives game this season you can play in it now" Christian kissed her

"No thanks" Nicole laughed

"Wanna try batting on the other side of the plate now like your boyfriend?" Collin asked

"No thanks I hit the ball, I'm proud of myself, mission accomplished specially since when I worked here they never let us do this sooooooo another goal checked off of my list" Nicole did a bat flip 

"Whoa Diva alert with that bat flip!" Christian joked

The guys went out onto the field to run a bit before heading home
