Death is a strong enemy. You wouldn't know when it'll come. It'll just...happen. But if you were to fight death, would you think you'll win? or will it just kill you to death too?
"I should've looked after her." Jiama cried.
Kai, Jiama, Akihiro and Sasura's parents are at the hospital. Kai dialed them through Sasura's phone. And Kai was also feeling terrible for doing nothing. He swore he would look after her. But what happened? Nothing.
"Mama? Why is big sis sleeping here? Does she loves the hospital so much she wants to sleep here?" Akihiro asked innocently.
His mom just hugged him tight and cried. He actually knows what's happening. He really just doesn't want to think that her sister's in a critical condition right now. Sasura's the very first person to accept him. That's why he is really trying hard to make her proud when they are teaching him.
He wants her to see him achieve his dreams. He wants her to see him get high grades. He wants her to see him graduate. He wants her to see him court a girl. He wants her to see him be happy. He wants her to see his marriage and have kids and have a happy life. He wants her to be there.
"Kai, did you saw what happened?" Sasura's father asked Kai.
Kai disappointingly shook his head. He just saw her the minute she got punched at her stomach and saw how she spit out blood. He was shocked by what he saw so he just stood behind the tree, frozen. He was just back to his senses when she fell on the ground. Which she got bruises too.
A couple of minutes later, the doctor came out. They were waiting for the doctor to come out two hours ago, and they are very nervous right now. They all stood up and the doctor faced them.
"Parents of Sasura?" He asked, they both nodded and eagerly waited for the doctor to speak. The doctor fixed his glasses before speaking.
"Her body's very weak at this moment. Also, because she has a lot of bruises and she lost some blood too. Truth be told, we thought she was going to die already because her body stiffened and her heart beat rate turned into a straight line."
Sasura's mother cried from what she heard. While the others were fighting the urge not to cry. And at the same time, Sasura's dad is very furious right now. He was mad because this happened to his only daughter.
"But a miracle just happened. We successfully brought her back. Although, her bruises are still visible and somehow still painful for her, but it will soon fade away. And, we still don't know when she'll wake up. But she's been transferred to a private room now."
They felt relieve that Sasura's still alive. The thing is, she's still not awake. They thanked the doctor and was about to go to Sasura when the doctor called them again.
"I still have to tell something, Mr. and Mrs. Shiba. If we may?" The doctor said escorting them to his office.
So it was Jiama, Kai and Akihiro who went in to see Sasura first. As soon as they opened the door, Akihiro was the first one to run and go hug Sasura. Jiama went in, too. While Kai stood beside the door. He could see how Sasura was having a hard time.
A lot of things are attached to her. A bandage in her head, arms and her legs were putted up a little. He felt like he was stabbed a million times. His knees were trembling. Every part of him was trembling. He promised that he'll protect her.
'Napako na naman.' He thought.
He went near her and saw how vulnerable she was. Eyes closed, not moving a single bone, not speaking a word. He saw how Akihiro held her hands. Signaling her to not give up and wake up already.
