CHAPTER 1

“You’ll do fine Lou, seriously you have nothing to worry about.” “I’m still so nervous, what if the other boys don’t end up liking me or I forget my lyrics or something really embarrassing happened?” Louis asked over the phone. “Don’t stress, you’re Louis Tomlinson the fun-loving crazy guy from Doncaster everyone loves you” I replied speaking into the phone “Aww thanks Skylar, Love you” he said “Love you too Lou, Go get some sleep you have a big life ahead of you, Goodnight” And that was the last proper conversation I had with my best friend. We spoke sometimes but not real conversations like was kind of like a Hi, Bye sort of conversation. He just got too busy.

*Two years later*

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP* My alarm went off, “Are you for real” I said to myself as I turned off my alarm and picked up my phone to see if I had any text messages, Facebook notifications or anything like that. “Nothing” I thought in my head as I saw I had no texts or notifications then I got up out of bed and opened my curtains to see what the weather was like today. The weather was actually quite nice, the sun was out and there wasn’t many clouds in the sky, it was a perfect day to go out and go to the park or have a picnic I thought to myself “But I have to go to work, Great” I said sarcastically to myself. I went and had a quick shower and got dressed into my work uniform and made my down stairs to see Lauren already on the couch watching TV eating some toast “Good morning Skylar” she said to me as she saw me. “Morning Lauren” I replied as I walked into the kitchen of mine and Laurens house to make myself a coffee. “Skylar One Direction are on the Morning Show!” Lauren shouted from her seat on the couch into me in the kitchen “Okay! I’m coming” I shouted back as I finished making my coffee and walked into the lounge room and sat down on the couch next to Lauren as her and I sat and watched the interview on the TV. “They are so successful!” Lauren said as she stood up and took her plate and empty coffee cup into the kitchen, I didn’t reply I just smiled to myself.

“Work was so quiet today, don’t you think?” Lauren said to my starting conversation in the car on the way home. “Yeah it was such a boring day!” I said. “Any way what’s the plan for dinner tonight Sky?” Lauren asked “We’ve got some frozen pizza in the freezer we can have? I’m up for a lazy relaxed night” I said back facing Lauren as she pulled the car into the driveway and turned off the engine “Sounds good” she said as she got out of the car. I walked into the house and went straight up stairs into my room and put down my bag on my desk. I went on to sit onto my bed and my eyes drifted to the photo on my bed side table of my old best friend and I when we were little, I picked it up and looked at it with more interest. “Miss you Louis” I said softly to myself with a tear running down my face. I couldn’t stop thinking about him today at work, after seeing him on the Morning show this morning it really reminded me how much I missed him. The rest of the night I just sat in my room looking through old pictures of Louis and I. *Knock Knock* “come in” Lauren came into my room with some pizza for me, “Thanks” I said as she handed it over to me. “You really miss him don’t you Skylar?” Lauren asked with a sympathetic tone of voice “Yeah” I said continuing to look through old picture’s that brought back so many amazing memories “Why don’t you get back in contact with him?” She asked “I doubt he even remembers who I am, he is a massive star now he has met so many people in the last two years” I said quietly “Skylar, he was your best friend, for like 12+ years might I add, of course he would remember you!” Lauren said back with a diva look on her face. I Didn’t say anything you just looked at her. “Come on its worth a shot” Lauren begged “Where do I even start?” I asked with a puzzled expression on my face. “Tweet him and attach a picture of you both” she said “Okay” was all I said back. I knew exactly what picture I would use, our year 6 Graduation picture. It was my favorite picture of him and I. I logged onto Twitter on my laptop and went onto Louis twitter page. I typed “@Louis_Tomlinson Hey stranger ;) do you remember this? best night ever Xx” with the picture attached “Here goes nothing” You said as you hit the ‘Tweet’ Button. “Now we wait” Lauren said with a smile on her face. “Let’s go down stairs X Factor is on” Lauren said grabbing my hand and pulling me off the bed and directing my body towards the door.
