CHAPTER 26

Skylar’s POV

We just pulled into the arena in Adelaide and there are hundreds of fans waiting at the fence, great. We all have food and drink all over us and we look ridiculous.

We all pile out of the car and the fans go crazy, the boys give the fans a wave and Lauren, Deo, Eleanor and I all do the same. I could hear the fans laughing at our appearance and shouting out asking what happened to us, “Clearly they are here for us” Michael joked at the fans being here for One Direction. 5SOS do have a shit load of amazing fans aswel but Michael was right most of the teenage girls here are for One Direction. We made our way into the arena and went straight into the dressing room; we all let the 5SOS boys shower first because they had to go to sound check.

“Hey guys look over here” Harry said as he help up his phone to take a picture of us, we all smiled and made funny faces at the camera while Harry captured the picture. “Give us a look” Zayn said after we took the picture and Harry walked over to show us, I loved it, defiantly my favorite picture. We were all in a small group with Lauren on Zayn’s back poking her tongue out, Niall kissing my cheek and I’m doing a cheeky smile, Deo and Liam are back to back with their fingers in the shape of guns and Eleanor and Louis were doing the classic ‘west side’ pose.

“that’s totally going on Twitter” Harry said and everyone automatically looked at me. “I don’t think that’s a good idea mate” Liam advised and Harry’s face dropped realizing what he had said without thinking “I’m sorry, I wasn’t thinking” He said what I was thinking. “You know what; go ahead” I gave him approval to post it on twitter, “Are you sure?” Niall and Harry both said “Yes, I’m sure” I confirmed, as much as it pains me when I get hate I don’t want the boys to stop interacting with the fans that love them to bits, a lot of the fans that I have met have been lovely there is only that bunch that are rude, unbelievably rude towards not only me but Eleanor and Liam’s ex Danielle got hate too. I wonder if Lauren gets hate, I have so involved in the hate I’m getting I haven’t even asked her or checked her twitter feed, I feel terrible, what if she gets hate like me, or worse.

After we all RT’d and favorited Harrys tweet we all broke into doing individual things, I got out my phone as I sat down on the couch in the room and logged back onto twitter and went onto Lauren’s feed to see what’s been happening, I scrolled down the feed and my blood turned cold with what I was seeing.

Gross! She makes me want to vomit @LaurenDavies just leave

@LaurenDavies get away from Zayn *Cough* WHORE *Cough*

@LaurenDavies please die

I can’t be the only one that wants to punch @LaurenDavies

@LaurenDavies face annoys me

@LaurenDavies I love you, don’t listen to the hate

@LaurenDavies you’re like a bad smell that just doesn’t go away!

That was where I stopped I couldn’t read any more. I kept scrolling down and the hate didn’t stop, I thought the hate I was getting was bad, I was so selfish crying and making a fuss when Lauren is over here getting hate like I’ve never seen before! I feel absolutely terrible, I got up off the couch and ran down the corridor, I ran past the 5SOS boys but I ignored them and I kept running and ran into the first open door I came across, it happened to be some sort of cleaning closet but I didn’t care, I turned my back to the door and slid down the door and cried, I can deal with myself getting hate but for them to hate Lauren for no reason is crossing the line, big time.

Eleanor’s POV

We were all sat around or standing in the dressing room talking amongst each other waiting for 5SOS to get out of the showers so we could all go in, Deo was lucky and took the last shower available and the rest of us had to wait but he didn’t mind, we all spoke in quiet voices but because we all spoke at once it sounded much louder.

“You look atrocious” Louis teased as he attempted to pick what I think is lamington out of my hair. “Why thank yo-“ I started thanking my silly boyfriend when I noticed Skylar running out of the dressing room, her urgent exist has gone unnoticed by everyone else, I know something is up, I need to check it out.

“I’ll be back” I told Louis as I walked towards to exist of the room to find Skylar

“are you okay babe? Do you want me to come?” He questioned

“No, I’ll be back soon” and he let me walk out, I’m glad he didn’t push for him to come with me and just let me go by myself. As I walked out the door I bumped into the 5SOS boys who had returned from the shower, “Hey did you guys see Sky?” I asked them, “Uh-yeah she was just running down the corridor and ran into the cleaner’s closet down the hall” Calum said “Is she okay? She looked really- stressed?” Ashton added. “I’m not too sure but I need to find her, Thanks” I said as I rushed down the hall to the door that Skylar was behind.

“Sky!” I knocked on the door and I could hear her sobbing through the hard wood door. “Skylar please let me in babe” I asked her but she didn’t, I turned the knob on the door expecting it to be locked but it’s not, I slowly opened the door to see her sitting in the corner of the tiny room with her head in her hands. I rushed over to her and wrapped my arms around her, I didn’t need her to tell me straight away, I just need to comfort her at the moment, and after a long 5 minutes of no talking and just sobbing she said

“I’m a dreadful person” in a weak voice it was hardly audible

“no you’re not! Why would you think that?” I asked and she looked up at me then slid her mobile phone over towards me, it was Lauren’s twitter feed. Shit. I knew exactly why she was upset now, I knew about Laurens hate she was receiving but Lauren wanted me to keep it on the down low, she knew Skylar would react like this and she didn’t want her to worry because she was getting hate herself.

“I know babe” I replied and she looked up at me again “You knew?” She asked and I nodded my head “we have been dealing with it slowly, Lauren didn’t want to make a fuss about it”

“How can I not fuss about it, I have been here crying over the hate I’m getting and I was completely oblivious to my best friend getting the hate 10 fold” She cried. “I’m sorry babe, we should have told you” I replied, “No, I should of noticed, I should have paid more attention to her and not be so god damn selfish” She said, I can tell she is beating herself up inside.

“Do you want to talk to her about it?” I asked and she nodded “you go back, ill come soon, just give me a minute or two?” She asked and I gave her a sympathetic smile and left her to herself.

I walked back into the dressing room to have everyone’s eyes dart towards me as I entered Niall and Louis immediately stood up.

“Where is Skylar?” Niall asked

“Is she okay?” Louis asked

“She’s coming, she found out about Laurens hate” I stated

“What! No, this can’t happen” Lauren screeched and buried her head into Zayn’s chest
