Chapter 3

CHAPTER 3

*DING DONG* the doorbell rang. “He’s here!” I heard Lauren call out to you from down stairs “You can get the door, I’ll be down in a minute” I shouted back from upstairs “Okay” she said as I heard her get up off the couch and walk over to the door. I gave myself one last look in the mirror and smiled to myself. “Here we go” I said to myself as I walked out of my bed room and walked down the stairs. I got half way down the stairs when I could hear Lauren introducing herself to the man standing at the door, I got a rush of butterflies through my body as I continued walking  down the stairs and looked at the door to see Lauren and Louis both standing making small talk with each other, Then Louis noticed I was standing there “SKY!!!” he almost shouted as he quickly walked towards me with his arms out ready to hug me “LOU” I said back excitedly embracing his hug. After a huge hug he pulled back and placed his hands on my shoulders “How have you been babe?” he asked “I’ve been good, come in let’s sit” I said back to him ushering him over to the couch to sit down. “So how’s the rock star life treating you?” I said “It’s amazing I am so great full of everything that has happened over the past two and a bit years!” he said happily while chuckling a bit. We continued to chat and catch up throughout the day talking about the band and my life and Lauren and you know that sort of stuff. It felt like today few by really fast. “Wow its 6 o’clock already, I better get back home Eleanor might be getting worried” Louis said with a bit of a sad tone of voice because he had to leave. “Yeah no worries” I said back trying to sound perked up so he wouldn’t feel bad. We both stood up and made our way to the front door “Nice meeting you Lauren” Louis said loud enough for her to hear him from the kitchen “You too!” she replied. Once we both reached the door he gave me the biggest hug ever I was actually struggling to breathe “Okay, steady on Lou” I said laughing and he released me from the hug. “I missed you so much Skylar! And I am going to make sure that I don’t lose you again” he said emotionally looking me in the eyes “I missed you to Lou, good because I don’t want to lose you either.” We quickly exchanged phone numbers and hugged again “We’ll be in touch love, okay?” he asked me “For sure” you said back with a smile “Okay by babe” he said as we walked out the door. I stood at the door and waved him goodbye as his car pulled out of the driveway, once his car was out of my sight I walked back inside and closed the door behind me and just stood there for a second just thinking about the day and smiled to myself. ‘I am back in contact with my best friend’ I thought to myself as I walked into the kitchen to join Lauren. “Did you have a good day?” she asked me “Wonderful, thanks” I said back as I got a class of water and made my way out of the kitchen up the stairs and into my bedroom. I placed the glass of water on my bedside table as I walked into my bathroom. And got dressed into my pajamas that weren’t actually pajamas they were some bike shorts and one of my dad’s old t-shirts. Once I had removed my make-up and changed my clothes I walked out of the bathroom and sat down on my bed I grabbed my laptop that was slid just underneath my bed and turned it on, while it was logging on I took my hair out of the bun it was in, brushed it and then put it in a loose plat once my laptop was logged on I went onto twitter to find I had thousands of new followers, ‘what?’ I thought to myself then I noticed I had been mentioned in a tweet from Louis it said “Had an amazing reunion today with my lovely best friend @SkylarSmith and can’t wait to see her again soon X” I didn’t realize a smile had crept onto my face while I was reading it. I replied to the tweet saying “@Louis_Tomlinson had a great time too! Cya soon Lou Xx” within seconds after I replied to his tweet you got thousands of new followers most of them had One Direction usernames so I figured they were all Directioners “Whoa! And that’s the power of Directioners, 13,000 followers form 2,000 within less than 24 hours” I said to myself as I saw my followers rise dramatically. After that I checked my Instagram and Facebook quickly and then put my laptop away. As I slid my laptop underneath my bed and looked at my clock on my bedside table and it was getting late so I turned off my lamp and  went to sleep thinking about my best friend Louis and how he was back into my life.
