CHAPTER 17

Lauren’s POV

We are leaving for Australia tomorrow morning, I am really excited! I spoke to Skylar on the phone about an hour ago, Its tomorrow morning there today, this whole time zone thing is confusing, its 10:00pm here and our plane leaves tomorrow morning at 7:00am. Skylar told me about the kiss she shared with Niall, and how she thinks she is falling for him, but she also has Harry in the back of her mind. She said that Niall’s family is really nice and Deo Niall’s cousin so funny. I also told her about Zayn and I, and how we have all been while she has been gone.

~Flashback~

Earlier that night-

“Hey Loz” Zayn said with a small amount of nervousness in his voice “Hey Zayn” I said back sweetly “Do-uh, Do you wanna maybe go out sometime?” He said “Like, on a date?” I ask “Yeah you could say that, we get along really well and I really like you, it’s okay if you don’t want to” He said “Yeah Zayn I would love that! I really like you too” I said back to him trying to hide my excitement “Okay well, I’ll pick you up from your place tonight? 7:00pm?” He asked “Sounds good” I said and then I left the boys’ apartment. I have been hanging around a lot with the boys and Eleanor we have become really close the last week and a bit that Niall and Skylar have been in Australia, at first it was a little awkward because Skylar wasn’t here but they were so welcoming.

“Hel- wow.. hey” Zayn greeted me as I opened the door to my house, it was now 7:00pm and he had come to pick me up for our date, “Hello” I said as I grabbed my purse and locked the door. “You look beautiful” Zayn complimented me as he opened the passenger door of his car for me, “Oh, Thanks” I said and I could feel my cheeks turning a light shade of red. I was wearing a cobalt blue figure tight dress that hugged my body in all the right places and showed my full body figure nicely and came down to mid-thigh, I wasn’t up myself in any way at all but I am pretty proud of my body figure. “So where are we going?” I asked him as he reversed out of my drive way, “Oh, nothing to fancy” He said with a little smirk on his face. We made conversation about the classes I am going to do at university and about the Australia tour, after about 15 minutes of driving we arrived at the restaurant, Wow I thought to myself but I didn’t say it out loud, Zayn laughed wait did I say that out loud I thought to myself “Yeah babe you did” Zayn said wait did I say that out loud too? “come on babe, lets get inside its cold out here” Zayn said as he knotted his hand with mine, it felt so nice our hands fitted together so well. “This restaurant is so, so fancy” I said causing Zayn to laugh once again “Yeah, I might have been tricking before when I said ‘nothing to fancy” we walked over to the front desk “Reservation for Malik” Zayn said with a smile “Sure thing” the waitress said and started flicking through the pages of reservations that are sat on the desk when she finally spotted Zayn’s name “Oh Zayn Malik, table for two?” she asked “That’s us” Zayn confirmed with a smile, he was in such a good mood tonight, so was I. The waitress guided us over to a table and gave us our drink and food menus and then said she will be back soon to get us started. “You excited for Australia tomorrow?” I asked him “Yeah it’s mad in Australia, you are going to love it there” He said, I find it so adorable that him and I already know what each other likes, and we know each other on a very deep level already and we have only known each other for about two weeks and yet I feel like I have known him all my life. We made small talk throughout the night and we laughed so much. At the end of the night Zayn wouldn’t let me pay for my dinner which annoyed me a little because I don’t like people always paying for me but I let his sweet gesture slide. We drove back to my house again making small talk to fill in the silence, we pulled into the drive way and then he walked me to the front door. “I had fun tonight, Thanks” I said to him as we stopped at the front door, “Me too” He said and he took both of my hands in his “Listen, I know we haven’t known each other for long at all but I feel like we get along really well and I, I really like you and I..” He trailed off, I gave him a comforting smile and gave his hand a light squeeze to signal him to continue. “What I am trying to say is, I would.. Lauren, would you like to be my girlfriend?” He asked me, I was in shock! I knew I liked him but I had no idea the feeling were mutual. “Please say something” He said, we both let out a little laugh. “Yes, yes of course, I feel the same way” I finally said and he let out a sigh of relief “I fell for you the day I met you” He said as he hugged me which made my stomach erupt with butterflies, we released from our embrace a minute after “I think we should keep us on the down low for a couple days just to make sure It’s what you want, I have no regrets and I would tell the world your mine tonight but for your sake let’s wait” He said to me all I could do was nod and hug him again. We said goodnight and exchanged our first kiss, it was perfect our lips moved in sync and fireworks went off in my stomach and I could feel him smile through the kiss, life couldn’t be better! I went inside and kicked off the heels I had been wearing tonight and I immediately grabbed my phone out of my bag and rang Skylar.
