CHAPTER 21

Louis’ POV

My blood was boiling, the hate Skylar is getting is not fair, she did nothing wrong. She is the most lovely girl ever, she is nothing but nice to people and she still gets punished for it. I really want to go up and give her a hug and tell her it will be okay but I want Niall and her to have a chance to talk about it, Niall told us how he has fallen in love with my best friend and at first I didn’t know how to take it but in the past 24 hours I have seen the way they look at each other, they are in love. He better not hurt her though, I’m sure he wouldn’t. After they start officially dating I am going to have to have a chat with him.

I really hope Skylar is okay, we are all still sitting down at the table looking through all the hate Skylar was receiving. “This is terrible” Eleanor said, she got hate aswel but never to this extent. “This is fucking ridiculous! We need to do something about this!” Harry barked, he was really pissed off by this. We all were, Harry was just more vocal about it. “Obviously” Zayn said in an offensive tone. “Chill out guys, we are going to fix things but us hating on each other isn’t going to solve anything” Liam said. We were all on edge and Liam was right we needed to calm down and figure out the best way to go about this.

Niall’s POV

“Why do they hate me” Skylar managed to say in-between her cries, “I don’t know babe, I don’t know” I answered truthfully, I honestly have no clue why they all hate her so much. “What did I do wrong Niall, what did I do to deserve this” She says to me as we pulled out of our long lasting hug, her crying has settled down now but her breathing is still rough. We walked over and sat on the bed. “You did nothing wrong Sky, you did nothing, you don’t deserve this” I said to her. “You are a beautiful, amazing girl and we are going to stop this, I promise” I said trying to choke back my own tears, it was heart breaking to see her so upset. “Okay?” I asked her rubbing her thigh for comfort; I could feel the goose bumps forming on her legs with my touch. She didn’t reply she just nodded.

We both sat in silence for a minute or two. “Thank you” she said breaking the silence “no, thank you” I replied “Me?” she asked, “Yeah, thank you” I repeated “Why me?” She asked clear confused why I was thanking her, “You changed my life Skylar, don’t you see that” I said, she was even more confused as ever. “I,I don’t understand” She said. I didn’t know what to say.

“I love you Skylar” the 4 words slipped out of my mouth before I could stop them. “What?” she asked, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to say that” I said, this is so embarrassing “You didn’t mean it?” She asked “Of course I meant it, I just didn’t want it to happen like this” I said shyly. She probably thinks I’m a weirdo, great. “I love you too Niall” She replied and my heart started racing faster. “You do?” I asked, “Yes” She simply replied. “Skylar, you are amazing, you don’t deserve this and I promise you we will make things right, together. You are the most beautiful girl I have ever met, inside and out. You are so caring and loving towards everyone, even if they don’t deserve it. You are so sweet and funny and you make me the happiest person in the world, I have known you were the one for me ever since I saw your standing next to Louis in our flat back in London, as I walked down those stairs and I saw you I knew, I knew I loved you” I said to her meaning every single word. “Thank you Niall, I love you, so much” She said to me, my breathing hitched hearing her say those words, it felt so right as they rolled off her tongue. “I love you aswel Skylar, more than you will ever know” I replied, the last bit I said quietly as my voice fell into a whisper. And with that she pulled me towards her and our lips connected, it felt so right, the kiss was slow and full of meaning. After we ended our kiss she asked me “So what does this make us?” “Whatever you want it to make us” I replied and she smiled. “Skylar I didn’t want it to happen this way but will you be my girlfriend?” I asked her in hope she would say yes, “What about all your fans? They will hate me even more than they do now” She replied “Don’t get me wrong I love you and of course I want to be with you but I can’t handle any more hate” She spoke. “They can’t run our lives, we both love each other, and we will get through it together” I said to her “Yes, Yes Niall I will be your girlfriend” She said “Thank you” I said “I love you” she said “But why didn’t you want it to happen this way?” She asked me. “Because I wanted it to be special and meaningful, to show you how much I love you” I responded “Niall, this is perfect” She replied and we both lent in.

I kissed her for the second time today and she kissed me back without any hesitation, this kiss was just as meaningful as the last one, we pulled away from our kiss and we both had smiles on our faces. “I’m so happy I can finally call you mine” I said to her. “I have always been yours, we never knew it.” She replied “And your mine” She added.

We heard the front door open letting us know that the others were now here, “Let’s go figure out what we are going to do” I said as I took her hand in mine and walked out of the bedroom into the lounge room to see everyone else.

“Skylar are you okay?” Louis asked her as he noticed our presence “Wait don’t answer that” He added releasing how stupid the question was. “I’m okay” She said, she is so strong, she is amazing. But we all knew inside she was hurting, “So what are we going to do about this, we can’t just sit here and act like it’s okay, because it’s not!” Harry snapped “Yes, we need to figure out what we are going to do” Liam said calmly, “We should all start by tweeting the fans about it” Louis said and we all agreed we would do that. “What about tomorrow, we have that radio interview, we can talk about it on there” Zayn said “Maybe Sky should delete her account, get out of the drama” I said and everyone agreed with me, except Skylar “No, they will get want they want, they want me to leave and if I do they are winning” She explained, she made sense but I hated her seeing all of it. “You guys have rehearsal, we should get going, and we don’t want to be late” Skylar said changing the subject.

Paul is in the lobby waiting for us when we get down there; he leads us outside towards the car. There were probably 70 fans outside behind the barrier; we all gave them a wave. The car was running late so we went over to the fans and said hello. “Skylar?” a fan asked, oh shit. This isn’t going to end well. “Umm yeah” Skylar replied moving closer to her “I’m sorry to hear all the hate you get, it’s not fair and I know it probably doesn’t mean much but I love you” the girl said to Skylar, well that was surprising. Skylar’s automatically turned into a smile. “Thank you so much, that means a lot to me, your so kind” She replied as she gave the girl a massive hug “I hope everyone stops hatting on you, your beautiful” the fan said “awe thanks so much” Skylar cooed. “Could I possibly get a picture?” She asked “Yeah of course” Skylar said and they both took a picture together after they took the picture I walked over and wrapped my hands around Skylar’s waist and everyone started to scream. Shit I forgot we were in public. I went to unwrap my arms from her waist but Skylar re-wrapped them and looked at me and smiled. “Are you dating?” the same girl asked in a quieter tone so that only we could hear. I look at Skylar and Skylar looks at me and we both look back at the fan. “Yeah we are” Skylar said to her. I was so shocked when she told her, I expected her to keep it a secret because of the circumstances and I was fine with keeping our relationship on the down low, I’m glad she told her but I’m also kind of nervous too. “But shhhh, it’s a secret” She joked with the fan. “Your secret is safe with me” She replied I wonder if she will actually keep it a secret, I don’t expect her too it’s a big thing it keep to herself and I’m sure others heard Skylar say that aswel.

The car came soon after and we all loaded in. “So when were you going to tell us?” Lauren asked us referring to Skylar and I dating “It just happened while we were upstairs, we were going to tell you” Skylar explained “hey! No fair I wanted to help” Eleanor whined and we all laughed “I’m happy for you guys” Louis said “Thanks” we both said at the same time, “We all are” Liam said.
