Chapter 23

CHAPTER 23

Louis’ POV

“Lachlan?”

I froze in my tracks, No way. Why is he here? “Skylar” He replied bluntly, I looked at Skylar and Skylar looked at me, she was lost for words “What are you doing here” I snapped before thinking, right after I said it a girl about Skylar’s age came up behind Lachlan and held his hand, She had an access all area’s lanyard on. “I’m here with Claire, she’s a fan” He replied “I don’t even know why, your shit” He scoffed at the end. “Then leave!” I quickly barked, I was losing my patience with him already, he was so rude and mean to Skylar and then he shows up here and doesn’t even apologize to her. I hate him for what he did to her. I looked back over at Skylar and I could see the tears threating to fall from her eyes and she hasn’t even said anything except his name, Niall and the others were really confused, I could tell by their facial expressions, I guess Skylar didn’t tell Niall about Lachlan, I don’t blame her, she wanted nothing to do with him after everything that happened. He was such a dick, I will never forgive him, and he really hurt her. “Umm” Was all Skylar could choke out. I was beyond angry! Why was he even here, in Australia? Eleanor held my hand and then gave it a little squeeze and I relaxed a little with her touch but nothing could end my hate towards him.

Skylar’s POV

What is going on, why the heck is he here, we are in Australia of all places, the place I have wanted to go forever, and it was going so well, I’m here with my amazing new boyfriend, and my best friends. I was perfect, but of course he had to come and ruin it. I can tell Niall is confused but he gets the vibe Lachlan isn’t a favorite and Niall’s arms wrapped around my waist for comfort. We were currently standing a meter away from each other saying nothing, after years of hearing nothing from him he is now standing right in front of me. I wanted to yell at him for the way he treated me and I can tell Louis wants to do the same but I can bring myself to it, I can’t get any words out, there is so much I want to say to him, ask him why but I couldn’t bring myself to do it.

“Got yourself a boy band boyfriend I see, how pathetic” Lachlan said to me, why is he so cruel. He doesn’t even know Niall, and if he did he would find out the Niall is amazing and I love him, Niall will treat me better than Lachlan ever did. “Yeah actually I did, problem?” I asked sounding much bitcher than I intended but I didn’t care, I hate him. “No, not at all, I have Claire” He laughed and we all looked over to Claire who was now chatting up Harry, he had a terrified look on his face and gave us a look as in ‘get this slut away from me’ what a loyal girlfriend, not! “Yep, she’s a keeper” I replied, thank god my voice didn’t crack, I didn’t want to cry but it was just my first emotion that came to me when I saw him. I will not let him have the satisfaction of seeing me cry, he has seen it enough. “Well uhh, if you don’t mind we have to move on now” Liam said, seeing that this isn’t going to end well if we keep going. “Oh yeah no worries, why would I want to see you anyway” Lachlan rudely replied to Liam, he is such a asshole, I can’t stand him. “Don’t you worry, you aren’t the highlight of our day either” Louis barked once again. Lachlan just laughed, “Yeah, whatever. Bye slut” Lachlan said as he shoved past me, Are you serious, I am NOT a slut and I am so sick of people calling me that, I get enough hate from the fans I don’t need it from him of all people. “Hey! Watch it mate, Skylar isn’t a slut, so don’t call her that!” Niall shouted at Lachlan, I love how Louis and Niall are defending me, Niall doesn’t even know the story, I should really tell him when we get back to the hotel. “Piss off you dick, your precious little girlfriend is probably sleeping with all your band mates too” Lachlan made a rude comment for what feels like the hundreds time. I could tell all the boys were fuming because and that vulgar comment he made just fueled the fire. “Get the fuck out of here! You’re a fucking disrespectful pig!” Louis shouted at Lachlan, I have a feeling all of the boys were about to have a go at a Lachlan but Lou just beat them all to it. “The only pig here is your little lady over here” and he gestured to me, and that crossed the line, a rush of anger came over me and I slapped Lachlan across the face as hard as I possibly could. “You’re a fucking dick head! Get out before I make you!” Harry said and Lachlan just laughed and stepped towards Niall and ignoring Harrys demand. “Keep you girl on a leash, she’s a fucking crazy bitch” He laughed again. That pushed Niall over the edge, “What the fuck is your problem, you need to learn some respect you asshole” Liam shouted while Niall grabbed hold of Lachlan’s collar and before we knew it Lachlan was pinned up against the wall with Niall now in his face screaming “Say one for fucking thing about her and see what happens you prick!” But before Lachlan could reply Zayn and Liam had both pulled Niall from Lachlan, “Get the fuck out!” Zayn screamed and without a word Lachlan grabbed Claire’s hand and walked away. Oh my god what the hell just happened. After Lachlan was out of sight they went and told the security guards to make sure that he leaves. “Sky are you okay?” El and Lauren ask at the same time, for the second time today I couldn’t speak, I was honestly lost for words, I can’t believe that happened, here in Australia. “Skylar, are you okay babe, I am so sorry” Niall said as he rushed to my side, along with the other boys. I had nothing to say, I just burst into tears into Niall’s shoulder as he wrapped his arms around me, this is because a regular thing. “Sorry Skylar, I honestly thought we got rid of him ages ago, I can’t believe that happened I am so sorry” Louis said, I can tell in his voice he is as upset as I am maybe a little more pissed off though, I need to stop crying I know Louis hates seeing me cry and so does Niall. I wipe away my tears and manage to say “It’s okay, it’s not your fault” and I gave Louis and hug, “Let’s get out of here and get back to the hotel” Zayn said and we all agreed and walked out “Are you sure you’re okay Skylar?” Harry asked me as we walked, “Umm, yeah I am thanks” I’m not sure if I am okay yet but I will be, I’m just thankful that I have the best friends in the world, I’m also really happy that they aren’t pushing me to know the background on Lachlan and I, I will tell them when we get to the hotel, they deserve to know now. I went up to Niall and stopped him, “Are you okay?” I asked him “Yeah I’m fine, more important thing, are you okay?” he replied “Yes, thank you babe” I said and he smiled “What?” I asked “I love when you call me babe” he answered “I love you” I laughed as our lips met for a kiss, we both smiled during the kiss, his lips on my felt so right it was like me made everything okay again.

We arrived back at the hotel shortly after, the boys didn’t say hello to any of the fans because of what happened we were all on edge, I feel bad because it’s my fault they didn’t. We are all in the apartment with the air conditioning on so it wasn’t hot, “So do you want to tell the story or me?” Louis asked as we all gathered in the lounge room, “I will” I replied. When we told Luke, Cal, Ash and Mikey about what just happened they were amazed. “Okay so where do I even start” “The start” Louis said trying to lighten the nervous mood “Okay” I said with a giggle “Well, In high school Lachlan and I dated, Louis didn’t really approve of Lachlan because he always said he would hurt me but I was going through a rebellious stage of life” I said and they all let out a small laugh, “Lachlan always treated me like shit but I stayed with him anyway, don’t ask why because I have no idea” I said “I  don’t know why I let him but he used to hit me and boss me around like I was his servant or something” I felt Harry’s body tense next to me and I looked over to Niall and the color was drained from his face, I put my hand on his leg to relax him but he was past worried. “Anyway, that went on for about 3 months, until one night we went to a party and I invited Louis, the party was going really well until Lachlan started drinking, he got really violent and started a fight with a junior, Lachlan bashed the shit out of him and when I tried to break up the fight he turned on me and started bashing me up, people tried to stop him but he was to strong, Louis came and saw what was happening and he called the cops, Lachlan got arrested and was in jail for 2 months and got 100 hours community service and fined $1500. After Lachlan got out of jail he came over and pretended everything was okay, I told him it was over and that he needed to stay away from me but he wouldn’t, he would come over all the time and harass me, I ended up getting a restraining order on him. I had to move schools and thankfully Louis moved with me. I used to get really bad nightmares of him bashing me up nearly every night and I needed counseling, it finally got better and I could sleep a week without having a nightmare. Louis, Stan and a bunch of other guys went and told Lachlan to stay away from me otherwise they will bash him. That worked, for a while. One day I got home from school and he was sitting on my front step of my house, I tried to call Louis but he grabbed my phone off of me before I had the chance, He forced me to let him inside, he started touching me and tried to force me to have sex with him, I kicked him and he fell to the ground and I took the chance to run and hit the panic button on my alarm system then locked myself in the bathroom until the police came, after that I saw him in handcuffs and I suspected he was going back to jail, after that day the nightmares came back and I haven’t seen him until today” I finished off finding Eleanor was crying and all the boys were frozen. “I’m so sorry” Liam said and I just smiled.

Niall’s POV

After Skylar finished telling us all the story of he and Lachlan I was in shock I can’t believe him. “I wish I would of hit that dick harder” I said and Skylar laughed. If I ever see him again I will honestly lose my shit at him, how dare he do that to her, she was in so much pain while telling the story I can’t imagine what it would have been like when it actually happened. I wonder if she still gets the night mares?
