Grace POV

The phone started ringing. I answered it "Hello" "Grace, we need you to come to the hospital. We had a woman brought in and we need you to come in." "On my way" I hang the phone up as I get out of bed to get ready. I started my way to the hospital that was down the road. I walk into the emergency as a nurse handed me a chart. "It looks to be a few broken bones, head CT is clear, but she is bleeding out." "Where?" "In her abdomen doctor. She is in Exam room 4." I nod my head as I make my way to the room. The door opens automatically as I notice the patient is Lacy. "Oh my God, Lacy!" "You know her?" "She is my sister in law." I notice she is unconscious. I press my hands on her stomach to feel around. "We need an OR now!" "We need to open her up to stop the bleeding." "Why, can't you stick a tube in her side?" "We would remove the blood but it wouldn't stop." I get up to the surgical floor to prepare for surgery. I step in a room looking in to see them prepping her. I wash my hand up to my elbows. I put on my mask and my gloves to get started.

After the surgery, I decided I needed to call and tell Noah. I call the motel and ask to be connected to my room. A man answers the phone "Noah?" "Grace?" "Hey, I need to tell you something." "Please tell me it is about Lacy? She hasn't come home yet." "She is here at the hospital. She had to have surgery to stop the bleeding inside her body. She is okay for now but you can come see her." "I'm on our way." "I'll meet you at the front." We hang up as I go to wait for them. I see him coming around the corner. Noah is walking fast with his cane. "Slow down, you are going to hurt yourself in the progress and you'll end up in a bed next to her. I radio down to see if they had moved her yet. They had moved her into a normal room. She is on the tenth floor. The doors open as we take a left and walk down the hallway. We walked past the nurses' station and it was the last room on that hallway. We walk inside to see a nurse changing her IV bag. She nods to me and Noah as he stepped closer. He took her hand and kissed it. "Who would do something like this to her?" "The police are conducting an investigation. They don't have any leads." "Will she ever wake up?" "We don't know." "I'm going to sit with her until she wakes up." "Okay, I'll tell the rest of the family."

Noah POV

To know someone had hurt my wife, it made me sick. I take her hand gently as I pull my chair closer to the bed. I kiss her hand and I pray. I want her to well again. Our children were missing their mother. "Can you wake up for me? I just need to see your beautiful eyes again. I want to hear you laugh. Please. For me?" She didn't move.  I could see the bruises on her face. Her lower lip was cut and she had a black eye. I could see a hand print that wrapped around her neck

Noah didn't leave her side. The family would relieve him for an hour to get food and take a shower. He would only get a few hours of sleep because he wanted to be there when she woke up. She was in the coma for one week. Andrew had taken over all of the rehearsals and had started the building of sets. Costumes were being made and props were being bought. Each family member had taken turns watching over her and tonight it was Gabe's turn.

Gabe POV

I was sitting next to Lacy's bed and I was just hoping she would wake up. I had gotten here ten minutes ago. The entire family was worried about her. We didn't know if she would wake up or not. The police had come and talked to us about what had happened. They said she was grabbed from behind and dragged to an ally. They finally found camera footage from the ally. A man wearing all black with a mask. They couldn't make out any of his features and he didn't have anything to set him apart. They would talk to her after she wakes up. I look back over at her to see her eyes opening. She stared at the ceiling for minute then looked over at me. "Hey, are you okay? I'm going to go get a nurse, okay?" I walk out of the room to find a nurse to tell them she is awake. He said he would call a doctor. I walk back into her room to see her looking around. "Am I in a hospital?" "Yes, and Noah will be back soon. He left to eat and take a shower." "Is there anything wrong with me?" "Physically you are fine. They just need to take your vitals."
