Bear POV

I opened the letter she gave me. I started crying again at seeing her hand writing. I didn't know if I wanted to read it yet. I wanted to hear her voice again. I wanted to feel her hand in mine. I wanted to smell her perfume she put on sometimes. I remember when we first made love. It was by the creek. I had laid a blanket down as we laid in the sun. She was already my fiancé. She had her head on my chest and she had her arm across my stomach. I was holding her hand and kissing her hand every so often. She lifted her head to look at me then she kissed me. She crawled on top of me. We were making out and I lifted her shirt. We made Ana. Then nine months later she died during childbirth. We weren't even married a year and she died. I was a little scared that might happen to Charlotte and couldn't lose another wife. It would kill me. I wanted Ana to know about her mother. I want her to know she is loved by her parents. I only had two pictures of Anastasia and I wanted to give one to her. I lay on the bed to get some rest. I have busy days ahead.

I wake up the next morning to the sound of a chainsaw. The sunlight was coming through the window in my room. We were going to make benches today for the wedding. The benches that were used during Bam and Snowbird's double wedding were used to make more seats around the fire outside. We would be making these to be used in the church we are wanting to build next. We are going to make two long benches with a seat and a back made of wood. The legs will be 1-foot-thick blocks. One on each end.  Then we were going to make chairs for Lacy and Amelia to sit on during the ceremony. Lacy was due in May and Amelia was due in April. They were getting close. I get up to get dressed in jeans, black shirt, with a red jacket. I put on my boots as I walk in to check on Ana. She was still asleep. It was still early and I wanted her to sleep. I walk outside to see Gabe and Noah were working on one of Noah's ideas. "What are you guys working on?" Then he goes into great details on what he was going to do. I didn't understand a word he said. Matt and Bam walked over to us to figure out how we were going to build the benches. As Bam was trying to explain his idea, Charlotte interrupted us to give us sketches on what she wanted. It was the way Matt wanted to do it. I put my arm around her as the boys walked away. "I like that you showed Bam up. I don't think anybody has ever done that except Eleanor." She giggled at me and I leaned down to kiss her. Then I hear Gabe's voice "Bear, you guys will be getting married in a few days. You will have plenty time for that." We both laughed as I walked towards my brothers.

Lacy POV

I had woken up to the baby kicking. I would find out the sex of the baby today! I got up to get dressed and made my way to his tent. Then there is a fire before my feet. He brings out his extinguisher to put the fire out. "You almost hurt your wife and unborn child." "I was trying to do something for Bear and Charlotte's wedding." "I would like to find out the sex of the baby we are going to have. I'm glad Grace has some new technology." He held out his hand and lead me towards the cabin. She was already prepared for us as I laid down on the bed. She lifted my shirt and put the gel on my belly. She moved the wand around and we were seeing our baby for the first time. "There is the head, the arms, and the legs. I can see you are having a baby boy." I look at Noah as she cleans me up. We are both are crying to think we are going to have another boy." He kissed me. We didn't hear Grace leave as she shut the door of the cabin. He was the first to speak as he laid his forehead on mine. "Were are having another son." I close my eyes just thinking about our baby boy. Then I feel a strand of his hair fall from his pony tail and it hit my face. I open my eyes to see his eyes closed. I put the strand behind his ear. Then we hear shouting from outside. He walks to window and then comes back to me. "It's dad."

We see Bam and Gabe helping him to the bench by the fire pit. "What's wrong?" "He hurt his knee." "How?" "I fell over a tree root. I was just walking." "Is that your bad knee?" "Can you move it?" "No, I can't move it." "Maybe we should go into town?" "No, I want to wait out the night to see how it is in the morning." "I don't feel safe with leaving that overnight." Bam was making sense. Gabe had starting making him a bush brace. I could tell that Ami was concerned. "I think we should take you into town." "Okay, let's get loaded up." The boys helped him up as they lead him to the skiff. Noah was standing beside me as we watched them walk away. I put my arm around his. "We will tell them soon. I promise." He kissed my forehead and walked to his lab.
