Pre-Wedding

Charlotte POV

I couldn't wait till tonight for the all-girl sleepover. I never had any girlfriends when I was in California. My life revolved around work, my husband, and my students. I used to do after school tutoring. I had been teaching high school for the last five years. I had also taught elementary school two years before that. I walk over to the school and open the door. I could see the pointed roof and it was a square room. It was perfect. The door opened and turned to see who it was. "Hi, honey." "Hey, can you believe we are getting married in three days." "I know, I can't wait." He came over to me and I put my arms around his neck as he put his hands on my waist. "I love you." "I love you more." We hear to door open and he turns towards the door. My hands slide down his chest. It was Birdy "Mom has breakfast ready." We walked to the main house.

We go through our day with completing chores around Browntown. The boys had finished the benches and the chairs would be done tomorrow. I could see Noah hooking up the tv in the Grace's cabin. The boys were having their Bachelor party tonight too. I think they were spending time in Noah's cabin. Billy and Ami had offered to watch the kids for us. They wanted have their grandbabies to speed the night. Then Bear comes up behind me and grabs my waist. "Is the all-girl sleepover about to start?" "Yes and you will be okay without me for one night." Then Ana came up to us and hugged our legs. He picks her up and hugged her. "Will you be good tonight for grandpa and grandma?" She nodded her head and she held her arms out for me. I hugged her tight "I love you Ana" I didn't expect her to say anything but "I love you too." I started tearing up at that. "I love you too daddy." He kissed her head as I brought her to the main house. All of the other girls were bringing the kids. They were giving last minute hugs and kisses. I tell all of them bye. I walk over to Grace's cabin to see Noah and Matt were still there. Lacy was trying to tell her husband that she would be okay for the night. "I won't strain myself. We are just going to be relaxing." Matt gave me a hug as we walked out of the door. Noah kissed her as Eleanor said "Darling, you better ready me because I am coming for you." We all laughed as he walked out of the cabin. 

Lacy POV

I was sitting on the couch with the rest of the girls while Birdy was making popcorn on the stove. We were talking about our kids and it was becoming a fun night. Then it turned to the subject about the new babies. "We haven't told anyone yet but we are having a little...... boy!" All of the girls started cheering and getting up to hug me. Then Amelia spoke "We will have two new boys in the family by summer." "We have been having a lot of girls lately." "I guess we were making up for lost time." We all laughed. The Grace wanted to say something. "There is something I need to tell all of you. I found out I was pregnant around Thanksgiving. Then I told Gabe on Christmas eve and then a few hours later, we lost the baby. I conducted an ultra sound test to confirm the baby was no longer there. I don't want anyone to be upset or sad for us. We just never got to meet this baby. I don't know why it happened but it did. I didn't mean to destroy the mood but I just couldn't hold in in any longer." Birdy took her hand and then we heard the popping of the popcorn. "It smell amazingly. I think I had been craving that for a few days." "I second that prego number 2." Amelia said that to me. We started calling each other prego 1 and 2. Now we would add Birdy in there as well.

We continued the night with a movie. We each had our places on the floor. During the second movie, we fell asleep around three in the morning.

Matt POV

We didn't usually drink but we did last night. I think I had a little too much. I was definitely hungover. I woke up from the sun shining in my eyes. I look around and see Bam and Bear asleep in the floor. Where was Noah, Gabe, and Blaine? Then the worst sound started, a chainsaw form Noah's lab. I leave the two of them where they lay. I notice I am still in my clothes from the night before. I walk outside and see the sun was above me, which meant that it was around noon. My boots were off when I noticed the snow on the ground because my feet were cold. I really need some water and something greasy. I see Gabe and Blaine coming from the woods with a deer. I walk over to them "What happened last night?" "You drank too much. We killed another deer to help with tomorrow and for you to have something greasy in your stomach." "Thanks. My head is pounding." "It should be on how much you drank. I wonder how the girls' night went?" Noah stepped out of his tent. "I will go check on them. They are probably still asleep."

Noah POV

I walk over to Grace's cabin and I look through the window. I open the door slowly and see they are all still asleep where they fell. I look for Lacy to see her closet to the fire. She always got cold easily. I close the door and walk back over to the boys. They were taking the hide off. "They are all still asleep. It looks like we will have enough food for all 21 of us." I leave them to skinning the animal and returned to my lab.

Gabe POV

Mom came out to take a few pieces for us to celebrate our newest kill. I knew Matt needing something in his stomach. I knew mom was upset with him but he didn't do that very often. The rest of us only had two drinks apiece. We had put the rest of the meat away as we all sat down for a piece of that meat. Mom handed me a piece and I put it in my month. I was so good. I feel a hand on my shoulder and turn to see my wife. She leans down to kiss me as she sits in my lap. I give her a piece. "Did you girls' have fun last night?" "Yes and I told them everything." "Were you okay with that?" "I couldn't keep it between us anymore. I wanted them to know." I kissed her shoulder as we continued to eat. The rest of the family joined us later.

It was finally nightfall and we all needed our rest for the wedding. We all retired for the night. Charlotte was staying in the main house tonight. I could see the two of them on the front porch telling each other goodnight.

Bear POV

"I don't want to leave you tonight." "I promise I will see you tomorrow. I'll be the one in white." "I hope you are." I kissed her. We were getting aggravated since we have never had sex. It was getting harder every day. I pushed her against the wall and she put her legs around my waist. I held her for a few more minutes then I stopped. I looked at her and leaned my forehead on hers. "I will see you tomorrow at sunset. I can't wait for you to be my wife. Then the fun begins." I kissed her one more time and ran back to my cabin. I close the door behind me as I get ready for bed.

Charlotte POV

I watch him run back to our cabin. I walk inside to see Ami and Billy were cleaning their guns. "You need to get your rest dear." "I'm going to bed but can I ask you guys a question." "Of course." "What is the secret to a long and lasting marriage?" The looked at each other and then looked back at me. "There isn't really a secret but we will say that you learn as you go. You learn something every day." I nodded my head and I gave Ami a hug before I went upstairs. I change clothes and then climb into bed. I pulled the covers over me and I stare at the ceiling. I fall asleep, knowing my life is about to change.

I woke up the next morning to the sunlight coming through the window. I sit up in bed and think "I'm getting married today." I started getting giddy thinking about the day ahead.
