Chapter 13 - Off to Training!

Just as you guys guessed in the previous chapt Laxus has sort of piqued my interest for a potential love interest for Airi. Though I'm still not too sure of who the final love interest will be for Airi....any suggestions or requests? I'm interested to hear what you guys would be interested in! :D

And the OST is Urahara's theme from Bleach! Totally fits Airi's situation at the moment, doesn't it? ;) Damn! Its an awesome theme to show off just how cool you are.....and Urahara Kisuke is darn cool too!

Laxus pov:

I watched the girl as she walked next to that strange person she had summoned. She called him her other half....though it was rather confusing to understand.

I had met her only once before when I was in the forest where I was staying as a rogue. I didn't know much about her at that time. She had introduced herself and told me that she was a fire mage. Seeing her small stature and bright honest eyes, I didn't think twice to believe what she had said. I could tell that her maryoku was pretty good but I didn't ever think that something so unexpected would happen.

We were all heading to the sparring grounds just behind the Guild so she could show us what she could do. When she had said that she was a shinigami, I found it hard to believe. I had heard of the Oracion Seis member Grim Reaper as Natsu had mentioned, but this girl had said that she wasn't like him. She was a real shinigami with more than one ability that weren't based on magic powers. And so, she had refused to take part in the Grand Magic Games.

What was jiji doing accepting her into the Guild despite all that she had lied about?! Then again, it is Fairy Tail we are talking about. We had a reputation of welcoming almost anyone into the Guild....Gajeel Redfox from a Dark Guild, myself after how I had threatened the Guild because I wanted to be the Master....

Ah, no point in trying to find the reason why jiji had accepted Airi. Its kind of become a tradition to be overly accepting of everyone anyway.

After a few moments of walking, we stopped in the middle of the sparring grounds and Airi turned to face us. She was smiling with no sign of fear or hesitance. Despite knowing that she was going to be put to test now, she seemed quite calm. In fact, her happiness of being accepted by the Guild overpowered the stares that all of us were giving her. She had an excited glint in her eyes as if waiting to show off what powers she really had.

I didn't trust her.

"So! How do we start explanations?" She asked. The person she had summoned was standing next to her passively but I could see his ears twitch every now and then at the softest of sounds. He was alert. It made this situation all the more suspicious.

"Ai chan! Fight me!" As expected, Natsu was the only one who was overly excited about this and wanted to fight.

"Oi teme, I'm going to be the one to fight her!" Gajeel stepped up next to Natsu cracking his knuckles.

"Gajeel!! I had dibs on this fight first!"

"Out of the way, fire breath!"

Almost everyone from the Guild snorted as the two of them pressed their foreheads against each other trying to push each other back and take the chance to fight Airi.

"Fighting is a man!!" Elfman joined them and they started their own group fight.

Sighing, I shook my head. There was no way these guys would ever fight Airi with how they were quarreling. Besides, Erza and Gray seemed eager to fight as well.
