Chapter 39 - Magnolia

What can I say?? I'm really really eager to start the Starrk Love Story so I've been putting in a lot of effort and time into this one ^^' I plan to start the Starrk Love Story sometime this week so I would love all of your support and motivation!!

Airi pov:

The time had finally come to leave. I just had to say goodbye and then we would all head back to the Magic World. So instead of wasting precious time in feeling sad, I decided to smile and show everyone my best face before I left. I walked to each one of them so I could exchange hugs.

Kisuke san patted my head and handed me one of his replacement gigai pills saying it could come in handy sometime. Yoroichi san gave me a hug in her deathly grip, almost suffocating me. She also advice me to always use my feline skills while fighting because it was the most effective way to fight.

I have to agree on that because it's something I've experienced myself.

Hime's hug was tight and she whispered the words 'I will miss you' in my ear before she let go. Ishi was still awkward but when I hugged him, he gave an embarrassed cough and a pat on my back. Looks like he'd got better at accepting my show of affection.

Sado ruffled my head as I hugged him. He also gave me a necklace with a small round pendant. Apparently, it was something his grandfather had given him saying that he should give it to someone he wanted to protect. I felt very honored to have received such an important token from him.

Tou san was wailing when he hugged me. It was a funny sight to see but I could understand that he was going to be sad without me bugging him every day with training or homework and helping him out in his clinic. He kissed my forehead once and wished me the best of luck.

Yuzu chan and Karin chan were not ready to let me go. Yuzu chan being more sensitive, clung to me and cried into my chest. Karin chan had a tight hold on my shirt with her fist and she wasn't meeting my eyes. But no matter how hard she had tried, she wasn't able to hold in her tears. She had rubbed them off furiously, embarrassed to be showing the people here this side of her. She was a strong willed girl but she was still one of my baby sisters. For the first time in years had I seen Karin chan cry but I was happy to see how much she cared for me.

I had hugged both of them, patting the back of their heads to calm them down.

Karin chan had given me her favorite and lucky football keychain as a farewell gift. Yuzu chan had given me one of her strawberry hair clips as well as a huge bag of bentos packed for all my friends in Fairy Tail. Dumplings, rice and curry, fish sticks, egg rolls and so many other items! Well, the fish sticks were prepared special for Happy and cake was prepared for Erza. I'm sure they would be very happy.

When I stopped in front of Ichi nii, I felt a twinge in my chest. The small smile that he was giving me through the apparent sadness was heart wrenching. Sighing deeply, I just stepped closer and hugged him with my arms around his torso. I buried my face in his shoulder and closed my eyes as they stung.

He wrapped his arms around me as well and hugged me tightly. He didn't say a word but I knew he was going to miss me just as terribly as I would miss him. But it wasn't like we would never see each other again, right? If I ever felt like seeing everyone, I could just ask Starrk to bring me here. But knowing that it would be quite some time before I came for a visit made me feel that I would miss everyone even more.

Summoning some composure, I pulled away from Ichi nii with a smile. "I'll be fine, Ichi nii. And I'll miss you."

"Yeah, I know. You're in good hands so I know you'll be fine." He gave me a flick on the forehead and I winced.
