Chapter 38 - Settled

Sting pov:

"You met who?!!" I cringed at the volume of Ichigo san's voice. It bombarded throughout the house and caused the walls to tremble.

Airi had just returned from the place she called Soul Society along with Hanataro. She hadn't allowed any of us to go with her because it was not possible without a spirit body. I don't know how Airi meant by that though but we had all stayed back in her house waiting for her to return. Lahar san was totally against it and kept complaining but with one glare and threat from Ichigo san, he didn't speak another word.

Ichigo san sure is scary....I wonder how I even fought him and won over Airi.

But everything he did always seemed to be protective of his family. It was a good thing too and I had learnt a lot from him that would help me be a better Master to Sabertooth.

Right now, Airi was being scolded for going and meeting someone she apparently shouldn't have met. Ichigo san was furious and Airi stood in front of him with her head down and a frown etched into her features. Hanataro looked like a mouse at the moment. His eyes were wide as he glanced between Ichigo san and Airi. He flinched with every movement that Ichigo san made and he was actually hiding behind Airi. Airi's sisters weren't at home but I'm sure that if they were here, they would have been sent out so they wouldn't witness this scolding session.

Her father too looked pretty upset and all of us, including Laxus san, were quite uneasy.

"I told you, Ichi nii. I wanted to meet him. I had too." Airi's voice was pleading for him to understand and it made my heart twinge.

"No, Airi! How could you have not told us that you were going to Soul Society specifically to meet him?!" Ichigo san yelled again.

"That's right, Airi! Have you forgotten what he did to you?!" Ishida san snapped this time.

"Ai chan, I know that you really cared for him but going to see him....he hurt you. And you remember what happened to me too, don't you?" Orihime san sounded so sad.

"C'mon guys, stop acting like it's such a big deal! He's sealed away with the strongest and most effective methods developed by Kurotsuchi taichou! Besides, the Stealth Force was there to....!"

"He was the one who almost killed you, Airi!" Ichigo slammed his fists on the table making every single one of us, including Airi herself, flinch. "He's the b****** who almost killed you! He sent you to that world! It's because of him that we nearly lost you! And you, Chad! What the hell do you think you were doing when she went to see him?! Why didn't you stop her?!"

"O-oi, Ichigo. You can't talk to her like...."

"Yes I can!" Ichigo san cut him off before he could say anything. "She's my sister and I nearly lost her to that man! It doesn't matter what she wanted to say to him, she shouldn't have had to meet him! At least, she should have told us about it so we could have taken more precautionary measures!"

He was no longer angry. Ichigo san was glaring at the ground but he wasn't angry anymore. He looked pained. Anyone could see that. I suppose I could understand why he was feeling that way. I knew Airi from just a little while....probably just about a month. I loved her and I couldn't even imagine being separated from her or losing her in a battle against evil. Ichigo san was her own brother, her family. It's only natural that he would feel so worried about her when she went to meet the person who caused her to be separated from him.
