Airi pov:

"So you're saying that a bunch of dragons suddenly turn up and destroy Crocus? I mean, why would they do that?" I asked future Lucy as she sat in front of us.

Just after telling us that she had come from the future, she had fainted. She looked really exhausted when we first saw her in the dungeon passage. Her maryoku was almost completely drained too. Natsu had carried her as we made our way into the main castle and we were currently sitting in the huge dining room. Future Lucy had just woken up and she was telling us why she had travelled back in time.

Apparently, once the Grand Magic Games end, 10,000 dragons would appear and destroy Crocus; killing thousands of innocent people and leaving many more injured. It was kind of hard to believe because with the way things were now, I couldn't sense any strong maryokus around besides the people here for the tournament.

"We don't know why they came to attack us....but, it's terrible. Everything is destroyed, Mercurius Castle is destroyed, everyone is...." She bit her lip, closing her eyes as they watered.

I knew the meaning behind that tone, behind those words. Everyone is killed by the dragons. But why would the dragons suddenly decide to attack humans? According to Natsu, the dragons disappeared several years ago, abandoning the humans that they raised and made as Dragon Slayers by teaching them Dragon Slaying Magic.

Even if the dragons came back, shouldn't it be a happy reunion with their fellow Dragon Slayer pupils?

"But....." Future Lucy looked up at me, breaking my train of thought. "Who are you?"

Everyone in this room gasped when she asked that question.

"Wait a second, you don't know Ai chan? If you're Lucy from the future, shouldn't you know all about Ai chan?" Natsu asked curiously.

Future Lucy shook her head. "No.....I haven't seen her before. I've never even heard of her either. I didn't know that there was a new member in Fairy Tail during this time....."

"Then the past that you experienced is different from what I am experiencing. Maybe that means that what happens in the future is going to be different from what happened to yours." Lucy mumbled out as she sat beside me.

"I don't think so." Future Lucy mumbled. "The dragons will attack just after the Grand magic Games....and everything will be burned down by flames. I....I'm so sorry. I came to warn everyone about the dragons but I came without any solution to the problem. I couldn't do anything." She covered her eyes as she cried.

I reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder making her look at me. "Hey, you came all the way here to warn us about what's going to happen here. You took the risk of travelling back in time to tell us about something that would destroy this town and hurt so many people! Being informed about a possible threat will help us face the dragons better. You did help us."

"Besides, we will protect everyone." Natsu added as he kneeled in front of her. He placed a hand on her head and touched his forehead to hers.

"We will protect everyone. That's a promise."

Future Lucy teared up, the look of despair being replaced by a slight sense of hope. I could understand that she had gone through a lot of suffering. 10,000 dragons attacking Crocus and killing thousands of people definitely didn't sound pleasant. For this Lucy who had experienced it, lived through it, a nightmare, I could only sympathize with her. But now that we knew what was going to happen very soon, we had to be prepared. Perhaps, I would have to go full out too.
