Janelle’s POV
The next morning I woke up alone. Ray had to go home and stay with Tay Tay. I woke up to my phone ringing right before my alarm went off. I turned off the alarm and answered the phone. “hello?” I answered raspily. “Morning baby. Get up.” Ray said sounding like he was completely awake. I smiled and laughed. “God I love you.” I said. “And I love you too baby.” He said back. “Now get your sexy ass up and get ready for school.” He continued. I laughed. “Alright. I’ll see you at school baby.” I said. “Aight bye love.” He said. “Bye.” I hung up and got up going to do my hygiene. When I was done I put on some black skinny jeans, a white flowy tank with a big black cross in the middle, my black and white Lebron’s, and then I straightened my hair and put a bow in. Then I put on my black hoops and my black and white bracelets. Then I put on some eyeliner and some mascara and my shiny lip gloss. When I was done I grabbed my bag and my phone and went downstairs. When I got down there Prod and Kay were making out in the kitchen. “Damn. I guess you don’t need breakfast.” I said. they pulled away laughing. Kay looked cute. She had on her pencil skirt and ruffle top with her flats. Her hair was curly. “Ok Kay why you lookin all dolled up?” I said putting my hands on my hips. “Cause I’m in a good mood.” She said and winked at Prod. “Ewww.” I said and grabbed me a poptart out of the cabinet. They laughed. Kay grabbed her bag and phone and a poptart and kissed Prod and we got in my car and drove to school. We were too excited about finding out what prom is gonna be. We got out and was met by Devin and Jessi. They are so freaking cute. Then I felt some hands slip around my waist and a soft kiss on my neck. I turned around to face Ray and kissed him. He smiled into the kiss and grabbed my ass. I laughed and pushed him. We sat there talking for a little bit and then we walked in and to our lockers. Devin and Jessi were joking around and being all cute and coupley. Devin was messing with Jessi and he pinned her to the lockers. Then afro puff’s bitch ass walked up. “Umm excuse y’all can y’all do that somewhere else.” He said and bumped Devin into Jessi. “Why are being such a bitch?” I said getting annoyed. “Oh Janelle. You stay out of this since you think you’re the couple’s therapist. You couldn’t even keep Chres.” He said. That shit hurt. I stared at him like ‘nigga really’ and he rolled his eyes. “Yo prince that was really low dude.” Ray said taking up for me. “No let me.” I said getting pissed. I walked over and got in his face even though he was taller than me. “I know you not talking bout I couldn’t handle Chres because apparently you couldn’t handle Jessi and now Devin is and he’s handling it very well.” I snapped and stormed off to the gym for the announcements. Kay and Ray were trailing behind me. I can’t believe Prince. We used to be so close. Ray came and wrapped his arms around me as we sat on the bleachers and talked. I laid my head on his shoulder and he kissed my cheek. “I don’t understand what’s up with Prince. You and Prince used to be unseperable.” Kay said. “I know.” I sighed. “I think Rose’s bitch ass is getting inside of his head.” Jessi said as her and Devin sat cuddled up on the row in front of us. Then the intercom beeped. Announcements: Good Morning Middleton High Shockers!! Today’s lunch consists of Chic-Fil-A, Zaxby’s, or Taco Bell. And our Seniors class of ’13, Your Prom theme for this year is…A Night in PARIS!!! Come and get your tickets from our Junior Council at lunch. Oh and congratulations on all of your finals!! Have a nice day. When the announcements went off Jessi, Kay, and I exchanged looks and then we jumped up squealing.

Still Janelle’s POV
Ray, Kay, and I were walking over to get our tickets. When we got to the table Ray bought our tickets and Kay and Prod’s tickets because Prod gave him the money. One of the girls from the dance team was working at the table. “Oh hey Nelle. Are you gonna run for Prom queen?” Samantha asked. “Nahh but Kay and Jessi and I came up with a plan to get Stephanie to come to prom and help her win prom queen.” I said. “Aww that is so sweet.” She said. “Whatever. Can I get my tickets now and if you think that pregnant hoe is gonna beat me for prom queen.” Kasey said slamming her money down on the table. We all groaned and rolled our eyes. “Whatever hoe and fyi Stephanie had her baby last night and she has more heart and is less of slut than you are!!!” I said. everyone laughed as she stormed off. We walked back to the lunch room and sat down at our table. It was now me, Ray, Kay, Jessi, and Devin. We were sitting there chilling and eating when Prince walked up. “Janelle.” “What.” I snapped. “Can I please talk to you for a second?” I sighed heavily and got up. We walked outside of the cafeteria. “Speak.” I said. he sighed. “I realize that what I said to you was not right. I know that we used to be so close and I miss you. You’re the little sister I never had. What I really wanted to say is that I’m sorry.” He said genuinely. I sighed. “I accept your apology but I’m still mad about you cheating on Jessi.” I said. he sighed and ran his hand through his fro. “I know. Rose and I just got caught up in the moment. I feel bad cause I really did love her. It’s just Rose was my first love before she moved.” He said. I felt bad. “Well I’m sorry afro puff.” I said. he slightly smiled at me. I hugged him and he kissed the top of my head. “I love you Nelle.” “I love you too big head.” I replied. We walked back to the cafeteria and Prince went the other way and I went back to my table. They all looked at me. “What?” I said. “Well what happened.” Kay asked. “He apologized for going off on me and we talked and he said that he was genuinely sorry for hurting Jessi.” I said. Jessi looked over at him and he slightly smiled and Jessi nodded. I smiled and sat down beside Ray. “Ok so dress shopping tonight.” I suggested. “Hell yea but what about Steph?” Kay said. “yea. You know she won’t be able to go anywhere because she has to stay home with baby Elise.” Jessi added. “Well I had an idea. Chres got them prom tickets but she doesn’t know. So I was thinking we should surprise her with a prom dress.” I said. “That’s amazing Nelle.” “yea she’s gonna be so happy.” Jessi said. “But what about Elise?” Ray asked. “That’s where you come in Jessi.” I said. “Me?” she said and raised her eyebrow. “Yea. You’re the best negotiator. You need to convince her mom to watch baby Elise on the night of prom.” I said. she sighed. “I’ll try.” She said. The rest of the day was boring so when school was over the girls got in my car and we went dress shopping while Ray and Devin went to the house to chill with Prod.
