Rin's POV
I woke up on Monday sad. Len wasn't with me and I was to wake up with a nagging Luka with my orange peels on the floor. I picked up all of them and threw them in the trash. I woke up to the sound of the birds twittering.
No, this isn't Snow White, but I wish it was Len that woke me up. I shook my head and dressed into my uniform. I went out of the room and met up with Len. We walked along to the hallways of the school and we had to separate.
I had to go back to this boring studying. There was someone new that people kept murmuring about in class. I didn't even hear about it. I turned to see that Hatsune Miku was sitting at my left side. I gulped, taking out my notebook not even paying attention to the pop star sitting next to me.
I have to maintain my grades and hopefully not get distracted, so I took notes intently for me to study in class. Miku kept on leering and whispering over to me. There's just one thing that I noticed when she was whispering.
"Len is cheating on you."
I shook my head as I started to get a bit shaky. But I bet he isn't. Whenever I text him, it call him, he's still in the dorm with Gakupo. But him cheating on me? Maybe Miku was just saying things so she could have Len to herself?
I shook the thought from my mind and continued to take notes in class. After that, it was my break. I saw Len, walking around the hallways, getting something in his backpack.
"I-It's my only break. Do you want to, hang out in the cafeteria?" I asked him as he shook his head.
"I got a project in chemistry with Neru. Working with her is a bit of a pain. I'll be able to hang out with you during lunch," Len said as I frowned, nodding.
"I-Okay," I said as I felt Len peck his lips on my forehead lightly.
"I'll see you later, Rin," he said and began to walk away. I frowned nodding, as I waved. I was able to get a few oranges with that said, I ate them in the cafeteria, alone again. Most people don't use this period as a break.
I cracked open my book, still studying. Though I could see someone with teal pigtails and was chewing on a peek. She was sitting right across from me at the same table, out of all of the seats and tables left in the cafeteria.
"I saw what happened," Miku said as I peeled my orange calmly, my fingers slightly shaking nervously.
"N-Nothing happened," was all I managed to say. Miku shook her head, writing down a phrase that Len had said to me inside quotes with a black pen on a strip of binder paper from one of her spiral notebooks.
"I got a project in chemistry with Neru. Working with her is a bit of a pain."
"So, what do you think it sounds like? Chemistry with Neru sounds a bit odd to me. Chemistry, in particular," Miku said as my eyes widened in shock, especially in the realization.
"Len's course, doesn't require chemistry, and he's too lazy to do any more extra school work," I said as Miku nodded, pointing at the second sentence.
"Why would he say only a bit of a pain? According to Len's attitude and Neru's attitude, Neru would be more than just a bit of a pain," Miku said as I disagreed with her.
"Len is polite when it comes to someone else he's working with in a project," I said as Miku shook her head.
"I'm in the chemistry class with them, so I know what's going on. There is no project going on when finals are almost there. Besides, hasn't Len sacrificed enough just to be with you? And here he's choosing a project with Neru over you?" Miku asked. I sat there frozen, staring at my peeled orange with the peels scattered in the area around the table.
"W-Well, it's probably an overdue project form a long time ago, and Len's doing it to maybe help someone out and raise their grades up, including his or he would get an incomplete and not pass the semester," I said as Miku sighed.
"That won't help. There hasn't been a chemistry project assigned this quarter because it's focused on finals much more. Besides, if they were from other quarters, why waste your time? The grades have already been entered," Miku said.
I eventually gave up. Miku had good explanations and theories on how Len is cheating on me. Or, is it just a coincidence?
Miku is good friends with Project Diva members, though she is much different as the lead vocalist. However, Neru just arrived to this school? Why would be she doing a project with Len? It only adds up to my suspicions.
I ate what was left of my oranges and threw the peels in the trash can. The period was over, and I eventually walked up to Lily, asking her if I could copy down her notes that she wrote down during my break.
Of course, she doesn't take that much notes during class like me so I told her I would just use my textbook.
Eventually, I ran into Gakupo, asking him where Len was. This was the response I got from him.
"I don't know, I thought he was with you," he said as my eyes widened in shock. Len wouldn't skip classes when it's just a week close to finals.
"U-Um, how about Neru?" I asked Gakupo as he shook his head.
"Nope. I don't think she goes to this school, anyways. Just Miku," Gakupo said and walked away. I stood in the middle of the hallways as students passed by me as I was just standing there like a frozen statue.
It's possible. It's all possible.
