Natsu's PoV
When Lucy escapes from my question, the guys and I go sit down, a little depressed from our loss. Apparently, the school had got the idea that we don't want company, so no one came up to us. "Hello boys. What did I tell you?" Miss Strauss sits down at our table, smirking. "Yeah Miss Strauss, you really showed us." Gray punches his fist to the side sarcastically. She giggled, probably not understanding he was being sarcastic. "Call me Mira. I hate being called 'Miss Strauss' it's so stuffy." She makes a disgusted face. We all chuckle. "Can you tell us as much as you can about them? They're probably the only ones in school who don't like us" Jerral points to the girls' table. "They are the most popular people in school. Everyone loves them. Juvia's on the swim team. Levy and Lucy are cheer leaders and Ersa's on the baseball team." She tells us, a more serious face on. "Wow. That's impressive, seeing as they're in a band as well." Gajeel rocks on his chair, crossing his arms. "But Lucy's the real mystery." She states, leaning in and making the situation serious. "What do you mean by 'mystery'?" I ask. "No one knows anything about her. Except for those three girls. We only know that she works at her Aunt's cafe and..." She pauses. "And what?" We all ask, fully engrossed in her story. She leaned in further and covered her mouth, so that people couldn't listen in. We also leaned in further. "She was in an accident when she was ten. After that, she's never really been the same again." She whispered. "What kind of accident?" Gray asked. "She was pushed in a lake and cracked her head open." She leaned back, signalling the end of her story. We all leaned back with her. "Wow, that's intense." Gajeel breaths out. "How did she live?" Jerral asks, going into fan girl/fact man mode. "They say that her best friend at the time jumped in to save her. Then disappeared the next day and they never saw each other again." She divulged more information. "Did you know him?" Gray asked again. "No. But I know she had a crush on him." She added.
I wasn't really listening as they went on with there gossip, I was thinking. That's strange, it's like my dream. That started just after I turned 11. That was 7 years ago, seeing as I'm 18 now. How old is Luce again? But that's really strange? I start thinking. "Tsu... Atsu... NATSU!" Gray tries punching me in the face, before I caught it. "What the hell, ice pants!?" I scream, pulling his fist towards me, making him fall off the table. "We were talking to you!" He shouted back, sitting on the floor.
As he got most of the girl population to coo over him, I ignored him and started talking with Mira. "What age is Lucy?" I ask out of nowhere. "17. Why?" She tilted her head. "So, it was 7 years ago when she had the accident." I put my hand to my chin. She nodded. "Alright men! It is our duty to find these girls' secrets! And make them fall for us!" I command, standing the table. "Aye!" Everyone if my band mates cheer. "What's up with you, numb skull?" Gajeel smirked. "Shut it, Metal head." I shoot a glare his way. "You wanna go?" We clashed heads. "You don't get along much, do you?" Mira giggled. "You don't know what I have to deal with." Jerral whines. She hugs him for sympathy as Gajeel and I fight and Gray starts flirting with the girls of our school.
Lucy's PoV
As the cafeteria becomes noises because of Dragon Slayers, we get tired and decide to go to our favourite spot in school, bring our instruments with us. We ran up the stairs, messing about and pushing each other when we can. Giggling, laughing and running our way to the roof. We burst through the doors and climb up to the roof of the stair's little hut and lay down. As we're giggling and poke each other, we start gossiping. "Did you hear about Mira and coach?" Levy giggled. "Really?!" I sat up and looked at her, as she leaned against the massive air vent. "Yeah. I saw them making out behind the gym." Juvia giggled. "No way!?" Ersa gasped. "Oh my god! We called it!" I squealed, fist bumping Levy. "I know!" She cheered back. "Hey Ers. What's the time?" The second Juvia asks that, the school bell goes. "Welp. We're fudged." Ersa states. We freeze for a second before quickly grabbing our bags and instruments, to run down stairs, put our instruments in a music room, and run frantically back to our class room.
We slid the door open harshly, breathing heavily. "So-Sorry Mira." We all gasp for breath. "It's alright girls. As long as you show up." She shrugs and goes back to her paper work. We all sweat drop. "Why did we run again?" Levy sighed and we just hummed in response. We all sat in our regular seats. Before we could even start a conversation, people I really didn't want to see, let alone talk to, came up to us. "Hey Luce! What took you so long?" Pinkie leans on my desk, perching his chin on his closed fist. "It's none of your bee's wax, Pinkie." I practically spit. "Well that not very nice. We just wanted to get to know you better." Gray sits in Juvia's desk, making her lean back in disgust. "And who said we wanted to get to know you?" She tried leaning even further back. "Careful girls. You might catch their stupidity." Levy jumps in, overreacting, also a smirk playing on her face. "You might catch our love as well." Gajeel leans over her, also smirking. "PERVERT!" Ersa screams, getting a chair and trying to throw it at Gajeel, before her wrist was grabbed. Can you guess who the victim is. Ding, ding, ding! You got it right! Jerral! "You wouldn't want to do that now, would you? I'd hate for your pretty little face to be in detention." He grabbed her chin. WHATS GOTTEN INTO THESE IMBECILES?! I scream with a weird look on my face. "What? Are you finally seeing how much of a man I am, Luce." Natsu smirks.
The second he says that, I remember a memory of my childhood.
Memory
"See how manly I am!" A little pink haired boy cheered as he held up a log from an old, oak tree that had fallen down ages ago because of a storm. "That doesn't count! It's hollow." A mini me giggles. "Okay then. You try." He throws the log back down, making bugs scurry out of it. "Ew! No there's bugs!" I squeal, running in the other direction. "Hey Luce! Wait up!"
End memory
I sat there shock, as I remembered that heart felt thought filled my mind. "Don't ever call me that again." I mutter, my voice filled with venom, and run out, almost crying.
