Lucy's POV
The next day, we woke up earlier than normal because of the position we were in and I just borrowed some of Kagura's clothes, as she was a similar size to me. Unfortunately, we didn't have the same style. She give me a pair of black tights, white skirt, a white dress t shirt with gold lining and a wide collar, a red tank top hidden under it. The other girls had planned to stay over, so they stayed with their own story. As we walked to school, a cool breeze in the air, I pulled the jacket top, which I hadn't bothered to button up, down my body to relieve some stiffness from it. "Kagura sure wears stuffy clothes. I can barely breath in this." I take in a deep breath, showing my in comfort . "It's because she goes to an all girls school. I guess she's used to the strict style." Erza shrugged as she didn't care for what her sister wore. "Either way, are you going to be okay today Lucy? People are gonna be asking what happened, especially Mira." Levy sighed, taking my hand in a friendly way and stood facing me. "But they'll probably question Natsu more. Seeing at it looked like he was the one harassing you." Juvia added, also stopping. "He has been harassing me. Every time he comes up to me he can't help but flirt. It's getting on my nerves." I grumble as we begin walking again. "We're in luck! We've got music first thing." Erza fist bumps the air slightly, trying to hide her excitement, and we all giggle. "At least that's something to look forward to." I sigh, looking up at the cloudy sky with a sad smile, remembering what happened to my mother and the jobs I'll have to work with until she finds another one.
Home room was awkward. Everyone came up to me and apologised for what happened between Natsu and I, giving him the dirty looks as they passed him. He seemed to have a nasty bruise on his arm, somewhat resembling a hand print. Then, we he thought I wasn't looking, he pulled out the newspaper I must have accidentally thrown at him yesterday. Goddamnit! I circled all the part time jobs on that! I face palm, worrying my friends a bit. "Remembering last night?" Erza chuckled and I simply nodded. Besides, it was technically true.
We all ran to our first class, as Erza stated, Music. Of course it was our first lesson, and we had our favourite teacher, so that was a plus. "Hello Miss Dragneel!" We all cheered, bursting through the door. Yes, Miss Dragneel was Natsu's mom, but she didn't tell anyone, as she was annoyed his her son's public embarrassments through the years. Specifically all the girls he has been rumoured to be with. "Hello girls. Lucy, I am so sorry am yesterday." She immediately bowed her head to me when we walked up to her desk, waiting for the other students. "So you found out it was me, huh?" I smiled sheepishly, Levy taking my bag as they went to sit down, giving us some space. "Yes, I was surprised when I found out Natsu still didn't remember you, but Gray told me." She winked to me as that exact group walked in to the unusually large room for one music class. "What?!" I gasp, making the girls look up and boys' eyes to stare more intensely in our directions. I waved to them to make the, go back to their previous activities and returned to Miss Dragneel. "Really?" I whispered in a lower voice, hoping no one was eves dropping. "Yes, it seems he recognised you after your trip to Wendy. Maybe you should talk to him privately after this?" She told me and I nodded slowly, thinking if it was a good idea as I walked away sullenly.
The girl's asked me if I was okay and I told them everything was fine as Miss Dragneel silenced the now bustling classroom. "Now class. As we have some new students, shall we show them was we've been practising?" She stood on the centre of the circle of chairs and desks we had made around her, directing her attention around the room. "Miss Dragneel. Could we partner up with some people already in the class?" Natsu raised his hand, surprisingly calm with having his mother in the teaching position. "Hm, good idea Mr Natsu. Have your pick. But if you try anything... I swear I'll..." She lead off, mumbling about 'guitar' and 'another one down the drain', or something like that. Natsu jerked his head to Gray and the each nodded to each other, then turn it's back to the class as they walked to the centre. "We want to partner up with the leader singer and drummer of Fairy Heart." Natsu announced, looking in our direction. Everyone oo-ed as Juvia and I blushed, Erza going on about how it wasn't going to happen. "Alright then, you gotta song in mind?" I stood up, Juvia in sync with my moments as we squared the boys up. The two whispered to each other for a moment before resuming with they cross armed, or hand on hip composure. "Do you know how to pay the violin?" Gray directed his question to Juvia, making a tint of pink appear on her cheeks. "I know the basics." I muttered, embarrassed that she hadn't completely finished her lessons for this 'fight'. Gray went to get two violins from the cupboard as Natsu pulled up two chairs for the instrumentals. "Are you going to give me an idea of what we're going to sing?" I questioned Natsu, leaning on Juvia's chair as she positioned her tool to her chin. "You'll catch on quick." He smirked. "Quicker than you anyway." I heard Miss Dragneel mumble from her seat on my desk, waiting for everything to start, just like everyone else in the room. I sniggered quickly as it seemed Natsu hadn't heard and Gray began playing a fast paced tone, making Juvia look up at me with an uneasy expression. I encouraged her with a smile and she got ready again, Natsu beginning to sing.
Throughout our performance, Natsu and I travelled through the sea of chairs and students, totally lost in our own world of music. It was amazing how quickly he could win my heart over again, as if he hadn't offended me at all the day before. But when I finished and everyone was applauded us, I grew cold again. Natsu came up to high five me, but I only crossed my arms, pouting secretly, and returned to my seat, Juvia rapidly returning to her own. "You guys did great. They didn't even see it coming." Levy sniggered as she leaned to us, whispering. "Great job girl." I bro fisted Juvia as Erza told us to return to the current class discussion, the rest of the class going calmly.
When we got out, our secret contact with the nerds came up to us. "Laki? What's up?" I asked as the others were sorting out their stuff. "It seems someone filmed your performance in Music. It's everywhere at the moment." She showed me the thumbnail of the video, likes adding up as I saw it. "People are saying how amazing you are!" She cheered, pulling her phone back in her pocket. "I even saw a famous record producer comment good thoughts." She smiled reassuringly. "I'm sure that's because Natsu was in it." I chuckled, slapping her arm lightly, even though the thought of any fame I could gain from this would be because of him. "No, then were saying how talented you were. Anyway, I've gotta get to math club. See yah later, Lucy!" She waved and ran away, leaving me with my mixed up emotions.
