Dragon Slayers had finally arrived at the hospital. No one knew how long Lucy had been in the operating room. Zeref wasn't far behind, the Magnolia family too so much behind him. "Do you have any information of a patient, Lucy Heartfilia?" Gray ran to the front desk, leaning in. "There are no patients by the name of Heartfilia here. And even if there were, only family members get that kind of information." The receptionist raised an eyebrow at the raven haired boy, poking him off the desk with her pen. "She came in on an ambulance. Blonde. Passed out in the middle of the street downtown." Jellal stepped in, Gajeel shoving his hands in his pockets and Natsu nervously looking around as if he'd see his soulmate. "Like I said, sir, there are no patients in this hospital by the name of Heartfilia." The nurse stood up, hands on the desk. "Any by the name of Lucy?" He asked, not caring if he'd get kicked out or not. "Over 50. 20 of them are blonde. Now, if you could move aside, I have some patients to attend to." She pointed to the line of people standing behind the group. "This guy is her boyfriend. They've been going out since middle school." Gray pushed Natsu forward, spooking the poor boy. "Her name's Lucy Vermillion. She recently took her dad's name." Surprising the others, Natsu stated. They didn't think that Zeref would change her name. The nurse eyed him suspiciously. "What is your name?" She asked, getting up the girl's file. "Natsu Dragneel." He said and she immediately froze. "From the Dragon Slayers?" She raised an eyebrow again, not looking away from her computer. "Yeah?" He questioned. "Oh, of course! Go right on in. I'm sure she would love to see you when she gets out." Smiling now, the nurse allowed them through.

Once again surprised, the group went on through and to the ward the nurse told them to go to. It was the operating section, and Lucy would not be coming out anytime soon. So, the group waited until that time came.

Soon enough, Zeref also arrived, the nurse knowing who he was and letting him right on through with his bodyguards and wife by his side. The moment Zeref got to where the rest of Lucy's friends were waiting, the cap on Natsu's anger burst. "Zeref! What the fuck do you think you're doing here?" He went for him, only to be pulled back by his band mates Jellal and Gray. "I'm wishing that my daughter will survive this ordeal, thanks to your tour bus. You could have killed her." Zeref stated, not showing any emotion. "How did you get in here?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "You're not the only one here who cares for Luce." Natsu spat, Gray pushing him behind. "Zeref." Gray spat, remembering what the man he once looked up to was like. He actually wasn't always a monster, or that's what it seemed. "Gray. How has your music been going? Since I stopped advertising you?" Zeref smirked, Gray rolling his eyes. "We never needed your help. Niether did Lucy." Gray glared. "She chose the better life. I never made her." Zeref stated, going to sit down and throwing his arm over the back of Mavis' chair. "And the Lizanna fiasco?" Jellal asked. "She was the crazy one. Natsu should never had led her on. I never told her to do anything." Zeref defended himself. "Like hell you didn't. She's been in maxium security since." Gajeel scoffed. "Isn't that safer for everyone? She did try to kill Lucy and Natsu's family." Zeref shrugged back. Natsu stayed silent during this exchange, just looking at the door.

Suddenly, everyone heard a group of footsteps running down the hall. There appeared Layla, breathing heavily. "You!" Layla screaming, instantly going to attack her ex. The bodyguards stood in her way, holding her back by the arms. "Let her go, boys. She is Lucy's real mother after all." Zeref gripped Mavis' shoulder harder, making her whince. It looked like she was begging for help, but would be hurt even more if she made her woes vocalised. "You stole Lucy from me! You monster! You hurt her, didn't you! She doesn't deserve this!" Layla cried, struggling in the bodyguards' grips and being thrown off. "As I said to the boys, Lucy chose this." Zeref smirked again, just as a nurse was coming out.

Everyone looked at her, the Magnolia group arriving. "All for Lucy Vermillion?" Shocked, the nurse questioned and they all nodded. "You might want to bring the whole family. It will be a close call." She stated bluntly and ran back in. We all went silent, thinking over what she had told them. Zeref was furious, for the economice reason. Natsu was irritated by himself, for letting her go and not being able to find her. Layla burst into another bound of tears as Levy and Erza consoled her, Juvia leaning on Gray for support. All they could do was wait in this room, none knowing what to do.
