Chapter 24: You Never Wanted Me Before Pt.2

Lucy's PoV

Thankfully, when I questioned myself about my father, everyone was too busy gossiping about who he was to hear. He was famous, the CEO of Heartfilia Inc. dealing with everything and everyone. Making the world a better place one step at a time was their slogan, one my grandfather made up. No one has ever made the link. 

Lets just say I was furious. Levy had to stop me from running out the classroom to go beat him up. 

Still staring down as the teacher didn't even care too get the class back in their seats, she too was fascinated by the man who was my mother's ex fiance, they hadn't even been married by the time he left. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a pinkette walk up to him. He and my biological father shook hands with smiles on their faces. Soon enough the rest of Dragons Slayers showed up, everyone being more friendly than usual, except for Gray. He knew who that man really was. 

Now thoroughly pissed off, I put my hand up. "Miss, I'm going to the bathroom." And leave before anyone can notice. The girls following after as I storm to the front of school.

I probably looked much different than my polite and sweet manner as I walked out the front doors. Luckily, the girls hadn't caught up yet so I was free to do anything I wanted to at the moment. "What-the hell-are you doing here?" I screamed, everyone looking to me as I approach, murder in my eyes. "Lucy! You're just as beautiful as I expected my daughter to be!" My father walked up with open arms. I smacked him across the face, making Gray smirk. Trust me, I could've done worse. "And stronger than I remember." dad laughed sheepishly, holding his cheek as bodyguards came up. "It's fine men, I guess I deserve it. Leaving to make money for the family." My smiled down at me. I knew he was faking sadness. Then, someone came up behind me. "Lucy, you'll need some privacy." Principle Makarov said. I stormed to his office, dad smiling widely. "Making money for the family?! Are you fucking kidding me!? Excuse my french, but you ruined our lives! We're still paying it off you know! Mom was heart broken! I almost died! And you didn't give a shit!" I burst out the second the door to Makarov's office door was closed, rambling on about how much mom and I have been through since he left. "Do you know how many times our apartment's been broken into? Being kicked out of several homes because we can't pay rent! Mom's been hospitalised because of how much she's worked to keep us on our feet! I've had to take up several job! And you've been living in penthouses and summer villa's since!" I scream, the pain bottled up inside me exploding, I didn't even realise the whispering from outside. It was probably my friends find Dragon Slayers eavesdropping.

This was only half of it. "I've had to take boxing classes just to stop creeps from breaking in or taking advantage of mom. Thank god she met a better man than you could ever be." I was getting emotional. Breaking down. "Lucy. I'm sorry. I just want to spend time with my daughter. Make up for all the lost time. How about it? We can catch up?" Dad tried to walk closer, making me take a step back. "You're delusional. Do you know what you put mom and me through?" I spat back. "And I want to change that. I want the love of my life and my gorgeous, talented daughter back." He smiled with open arms. Then it hit me. "You saw the video. That's why you're here. To make more money." I looked at him wide eyed. I knew he was selfish, but to come back to his accident kid and ex fiance? 

Suddenly, someone burst through the door. It was Guildarts. "Lucy. Sorry I couldn't get here sooner." He stood in between us, protecting me. He was definitely more of my father, and Cana, his daughter, was my sister. "So you're the bastard." Guildarts spat, seeing the tears falling down my face. "I see she really have replaced me." Dad faked being upset. "Zeref. It's about time you fuck off." I spat, using my dad's real name. Yes, my dad was the infamous Zeref Vermillion, play boy and absolute twat. "So cold. I just want to see my daughter." He pouted, Hid black hair fell in front of his eyes, but not long enough to completely cover them. "I'm staying at the Guild Hall during my visit. It'd make me very happy if you'd visit." He smiled, smirked to Guildarts, and left, his bodyguards following. 

If it weren't against the law, I'd thrown a chair at him. "Lucy." Guildarts sighed turning back to me. "E-Everything's j-just a piece of crap r-right now." I choked on my tears when I was sure Zeref couldn't see me at my worst. "Come here kid." Guildarts hugged my head to his chest. It was a fatherly hug, nothing my real dad had ever given me. I cried and cried for longer than I should've. The sound of the school bell signalling end of the day stopped me. "S-Sorry Guildarts." I hick upped, wiping my tears. "How about getting Cana to walk you home, she's being talking about how she hasn't seen you in so long." He helped me wipe the rest of my tears and I nodded. 

Leaving my bags, because I knew the girls would've gotten them, I headed to the Fairytail boxing club, Cana was the student head, while Mira was teacher head. When I opened the gym, a smaller one than the main specifically made for this type of thing, immediately the smell of booze surrounded me. Cana had hugged me. "Lu, I heard what happened. I'm sorry." She sounded so pissed as she whispered. "It's fine, I give him a lashing of a life time." I smiled painfully up at her as she let go. "There's my girl. How about we get rid of all the tension." She smiled down at me. That's boxing gloves on her hands, her sports bra, and long cargo pants that she'd where daily. I looked behind her to see the rest of the club knocked out and sweat dropped. "This isn't healthy." I laughed, grabbing my own pair of boxing gloves from the side. Luckily, I was only in leggings and a tank top today, so I didn't feel the need to change. "But its fun." Cana laughed before putting on punching gloves for me, and I worked off all the anger left from my arguing. 

Natsu's PoV

When Luce smacked Zeref, a sponsor, I was shocked. She started screaming about her mom, tears were growing quickly, I had never seen her like this. Gray was smirking at Lucy and Jellal almost seemed happy to see Zeref get the shit beat out of him. But he has never liked Zeref, so I guess he's right. Gajeel seemed to realise something very important as they left with Gramps. "What the hell just happened?" I gasped, utterly confused. Gray face palmed and Gajeel punched me off my feet and into a nearby tree. "Dense idiot." They all muttered. They all seemed to know something I didn't.

Jellal's PoV

When Heartfilia smacked her dad in the face, I was very pleased. I've known since we met him that he was her dad. Her mom was always looking after me when I got in trouble, she was a very nice lady. I just hoped Zeref would get what he deserved one day. He was the demon reincarnate. 

Gajeel's Pov

Holy shit! That's the bunny girl! I gasped to myself when I hear the girl who dressed as a bunny every Halloween. She was screaming about her mom. I've only ever seen her cry once, and that's when I tripped her up to get her candy. Of course, being the gentleman I am, I gave it back, but this is on a totally different level. She actually looks broken inside. That's when I remembered the name shrimp. Oh my god.

Gray's Pov (God we're doing everyone's PoV today XD)

After we punched Natsu into the tree, Lucy's friends arrived. "Where's Lucy?" Erza threatened to hurt one of us as she approached. Remembering the thrashing we would get as children if we didn't do what she said. I told her about master. They all nodded to each other and turned to leave. The guys and I ran after them, Gajeel pulling Natsu by the collar. "How the hell did he find her? Why is he even here?" Levy worried, anxiety painted on her face. "He probably saw the video through his friends. I swear he's such a gold digger." Erza grumbled leading the way. "I feel sorry for Mr Clive." Juvia sulked. She looks really cute being scared for her friend. No! What am I thinking? This isn't the time. I slapped myself and we went the rest of the way to Gramps' office. 

While eavesdropping, Mr Clive came storming up the hall. Erza pulled me and Natsu out the way while Levy and Juvia pulled the other's by their necks. I don't think he even noticed us as he almost broke the door down going in. 

After Zeref left, we decided it'd be best for us to leave.

Today was definitely eventful.
