Lucy's PoV
The ride to the airport was long a slow, silence filling the car. I had everything to think about, but nothing would enter my brain. The only thought I had was how much I have hurt Natsu to tell him to wait for me. I will have ruined his life. I have a first hand experience of having the hope the person I loved most would return, and all it did was hurt me. I was never going to see my family again, biological or not, everyone I held dear would never know we was going to end up. Hell, I didn't even know where I was going. I prayed for a better future. Hopefully with me gone, everyone will finally be at peace.
Natsu's PoV
After I saw Luce off, I got a phone call from the many I received during the night. I had stayed up to find where Luce lived, and only when she approached me is when I found out. I picked up, expecting the angry roar of my mom friend. "Natsu Florence Dragneel! Where the hell are you?" My real mother's voice echoed in my skull, memories of past beatings from doing bad things raising pain in my head. As it was now winter vacation, the apartment the band shared was vacant so we can spend it with our families. That's why my band mates didn't call me. "You have been gone all night! Not even Jellal knows where you are! Thank God your girlfriend told me you were fine!" She screamed, raising suspicion. "Who?" I questioned, my ears peaking as I began to walk home, rain falling around me. "Your girlfriend, Lizanna. Really, I didn't think she was your type, like all the other's, but she's a better choice." My mother whispered, making me suspect Lizanna was in the room. "What are you talking about? Lizanna isn't my girlfriend." I was completely offended. Lizanna almost killed Luce, there was no way. "Then how did she have a key to our house?" My mom told me, making me freeze. "Mom, get out of there now. Don't let her see you. Get dad and get out of the house." I used the most serious voice I could to tell her the heavy situation. "What are you on about Natsu? Lizanna's drinking coffee with your father right now." She laughed, being ignorant as always. I sighed, knowing what I have to do. "I'm on my way."
Once I got to the house, calling the police before hand, I looked at the lights shining through the un-curtained windows. I saw Lizanna sitting at the dining table, a close to crazed smile on her face and her knuckles going white from how tight she was holding her mug. She had dyed her hair blonde and had extensions, or a very realistic wig. Her aura was much different from when I first met her, but that is probably because I remember what she did, what she's capable of.
Slowly opening the front door, I saw my mother standing in the hallway, my dad chatting with Lizanna. "Na-!" Just as she cheered, Lizanna's head shot up, like a dog hearing the word 'treat'. I internally cried out in anger as she ran up, hugging my arm when she ripped the door open. "Babe! I was so worried about you!" She cried, mushing my face. My eyes narrowed and I pulled her hands off me. "Right, you're probably very tired." She laughed, me going to my mom. "I need to talk with my mother in private." I turned to them as I pulled my mom into the back on the house. Behind her back, I saw Lizanna holding a knife, the glint a warning sign for what I do. "Natsu! What's gotten into you! You haven't stayed out all night since we moved!" Mom wailed, fear in her eyes. "Mom, keep your voice down!" I whispered, pulling her to the furthest side from the door. "That's Lizanna Strauss. The girl who almost killed Luce." I told her, making her sit on a chair as I kneeled. "Awww, you remember." She cooed, hugging my neck. "Now's not the time." I quickly pulled her off. She either didn't have a clue what kind of danger she was in, or she was going hysterical because of it. "She's practically insane mom. She's not right in the brain. And I know she's up to something. But I don't know what." I told her, looking to see if the door was creeping open.
As I told my mom everything that's happened, we heard a call from outside. "Honey! Do you wanna come out now!" My dad called, his voice cracking. I stood in front of my mom protectively as we walked to the door. When it was open, I saw my dad, a blade to his neck, Lizanna holding him back. "See this Natsu? This is what happens when you ignore me." Her crazed smile was even more terrifying now that she was armed. The apparently wig she had been wearing was gone and her usual ice white hair was back, looking like a bird's nest in progress. "This is what happens when you choose that slut over me. When you choose popularity over your soulmate." She started cackling. "Lizanna, you're delusional. There's nothing between us. You're only the girl who tried to kill my best friend." I spat, keeping my mom behind me. "Oh yeah. And what about all those days we spent together. The night we stayed up dreaming of each other. You said in my dreams you would come for me, and here you are." She pointed the blade at my body, up and down, holding my terrified dad with a stronger grip. "You're insane." I muttered again, making her 'psh'. "You're just like her. The fear in your eye. The way you put yourselves in danger to protect the ones you love. Even the way you hold people back is the same. It's revolting." She spat, talking about Luce. "How do you know what Lucy looks like when she's scared. There's no way she'd show weakness to you." I shot back, making her chuckle. "She didn't show it to me, silly. She just happened to be with her dad when I was with him." She smirked, holding the blade with a looser wrist. "She's the funniest little thing when she shakes. You can see her pupils growing wider. I understand why Zeref likes to watch her suffer." She chuckled, remembering Lucy. "Don't you dare touch her!" I yelled, protecting my soulmate. "Oh Natsu, we've already got her." Her sly smile showed her insanity as the front door burst open.
Everything went by my a blur. Lizanna sliced my dad's arm as she struggled to escape, but failed when the SWAT team almost shot her down. My mom fainted, and I lost all the strength in my legs. Men ran around out house, looking for anyone else who maybe here. I was asked questioned, answering the best I could, but all I could think about is what Lizanna said. "We already have her."
