Chapter 13: Pretty Brown Eyes

Lucy's PoV

I'm going to faint again. I sigh, getting another headache but carrying on anyway. Lev, Erz, Ju, don't let him carry me to the infirmary. I cry animatedly to them as they collect their partners, hoping they'd magically hear me. Guys. Don't abandon me. I slouch in my seat as Natsu swings his legs on his own. "Hey, Pretty Brown Eyes." He turns to me. I immediately jerk my hand, spilling the calcium bicarbonate. "Damnit. What did you say?" I curse under my breath. "Pretty Brown Eyes. How's that for a nickname, seeing as you don't want me calling you Luce." He tells me with a serious face, as if he actually thought that was a buyable option. "No." I state the obvious. "How about PBE, for short?" He negotiates. "I would you rather call me Luce." I pout angrily and I try cleaning up my mess. "Too late, I like Pretty Brown Eyes." He begins spinning in his chair. "Why would you call me that anyway, my eyes are so dull." I continue with the experiment, recording my findings. "It suits you. Who ever told you they were boring, they're wrong." He spins again before copying my work. "Right..." I trail off and begin cleaning the experiment up again, Natsu helping me. "You do the chemicals, I'll clean up." He takes the test tubes from my hands before I could refuse and skips to the sink. I can still see my saviour in there, over that obnoxious, perverted jerk. I stare at his back dreamily. No! Lucy, don't get involved again! I command and put away the stuff that need to be put away.

~time skip-end of school day~

As the girls and I walk from English lit to the front gates, talking as we go along, Lev notices something in the exit. "Hey is that-?" Before she could finish pointing out who it was, I was already running towards them. Leaning against the wall was a black haired, red eyed, male, goth like kid wearing all black and standing in front of him, with their back turned to me, was a blond haired boy with extravagant clothing. When I was in arm's length of the blond, I wrapped my hands around him. "Sting Bee!" I cheer, kissing him on the cheek. "Hey Babe! Jeez don't scare me like that." He chuckled and turned to me, kissing my forehead. Yes, this was my boy friend, Sting Eucliff. He goes to a different school, the second best in the district. We normally only get to see each other during my work hours and the weekends.

His friend, Rogue Cheney, stood up properly once he saw Juvia. "Rogue-sama! How are you?" She stood before him with her book in front of her chest, blushing lightly. He leaned down and kissed, making her blush more. Rogue and Juvia were boyfriend and girlfriend too. "You guys are so lucky, I wish I had a boyfriend." Levy sighed. "I heard the fast kid in your year has a thing for you. And that chubby kid too." Sting and I let go of each other and he puts his arm over my shoulder as I hold the same hand. "They're childhood friends, I don't think I would ever go out with someone who knew me when I was even shorter." She sweat dropped as the rest of the us laughed.

Suddenly, we hear someone calling our names. There, we saw Dragon Slayers coming at us at a steady pace. When Natsu saw Sting's arm around me, he was instantly in front of the both of us. "Who are you? Why do you have your arm around Luce?" Natsu threatened to punch him. "Hey, I'm Sting. 'Luce's' girl friend." He smiles at Natsu, pulling me closer, using air quotes when he says Natsu's nickname for me. "And what connection do you have with my girl." Natsu was furious at this point. I don't know why, it I was getting butterflies in my stomach when I saw him like this. He was just teasing me when he was flirting. I thought to myself. "Then why is he acting like this?" A voice in my head asks back. My own voice. Don't be worried, I talk to myself sometimes, I haven't got Schizo or anything. Just when you hang out with my friends for the amount of time I has, you start to lose a few. "Maybe he's remembering you?" My voice says again. Shut up. I roll my eyes and come back to the normal world.

In this normal world, Natsu and Sting had start fighting, as well as Gray and Rogue. "Hey Sting/Rogue-sama! Stop fighting!" Juvia and I command in sync. Out boyfriends stop in fear of our wrath, but the two who had just joined the school hadn't got that yet. "Hey, Sting Bee! You afraid of a little beating!" Natsu teases and tries to punch my boyfriend. "I will get one if we keep fighting!" Sting shouts back. Natsu jumps in the air to prepare an attack on Sting, but before he could reach him, I had clothes lined Natsu with my arm. "Really you two, so much noise." I rub my temples. "Babe, you okay?" Sting rushes over to me. at the same time, Natsu had woke from his unconsciousness and ran over to me too. "Back off bub. I don't know why you're trying to hit on my girl, but you need to step back." Sting puts a hand on Natsu's chest to push him back. When they make contact, Sting turns to me. "Oh my god, he's chiselled." He whispered. I also forgot to mention, he has a gay side. The people who know him sweat drop. "Right." He nods his head quickly and returns his intense stare to Natsu. "I'm just trying to stop her from fainting again." Natsu pushes forward. "You leave me no choice." Sting grunts and pushes hard on Natsu's chest then chicks him over the school.

Natsu's friends run after him, hoping to find him before the fan girls do. "Let's go before they come back." Erza tells us and I get on Sting's back, as my dizziness was returning and he didn't trust me to walk on my own.
