Papunta na ako sa private room ni Darius, hindi ko na kasi siya binisita kanina dahil sa busy ako sa pag-aasikaso sa ibang mga pasyente (and besides, I'm pissed off) at n'ung bago ako umuwi kanina ay mahimbing pa siyang natutulog kaya hindi ko na siya ginising. Nahihirapan ako ngayon dahil sa nakikita ko siyang nasasaktan lalo na't si Elvis pa ang may gawa. Other half of me wants to believe him, while the other half doubts him.

I was about to twist the door knob when someone tapped my shoulder, kaya napalingon akoー it was Dr. Gines. Looking at me strangely.

"Doc, you scared me half to death." Medyo kabadong sinabi ko, ang lakas nang kabog ng dibdib ko eh. Paanong hindi ako kakabahan eh, it's almost 1 in the fcking morning! Anong ginagawa ni Doc dito sa hallway nang ganitong oras?

Dr. Gines removed his hand that tapped my shoulder a little while ago, "Where do you think you are going?" Nakahalukipkip na sabi nito, hindi na ako nagtaka dahil masungit naman talaga itong si Doc kahit ka-lalaki niyang tao.

I smiled awkwardly, "Uhm- Doc, I was just checking the patient." I hid my right arm behind me and crossed my fingers.

Mas lalo akong tinitigan ni Doc na parang nagsususpetiya at nakataas pa ang kilay, "In this middle of the night, Nurse Jade? Don't you think that you might disturb the patient who is at rest?" He said that sounded suspecting me like I am doing a crime.

Hello?! I just want to visit the guy I don't know if I'm still in love with him. What's wrong with this Doctor?

I smiled wearily, "He's my friend Doc, and this is only my free time to visit him as his friend." I remained my fingers crossed.

Dr. Gines nodded like I was really reasonable, yes! "Okay, then." Sabi nito at walang lingon likod na naglakad palayo.

I sighed in relief, god! That was too close.

I turned back to my business, I twisted the doorknob of this private room and opened the door.

It was too dark and too cold. Maybe, the lights are off and the aircon is in the highest level of it.

As I got inside, I slowly closed the door to minimize the sound.

"Darius...?" I whimpered, I didn't make it too loud 'cause he might be sleeping already.

But, in to my surprise no one really answered.

Maybe, he's already sleeping... besides, it's already in the middle of the night.

I decided to search for the switch of the lights. After 1629295182001 years, I effin' already found the switch and immediately turned it on.

Nilibot ko ang buong kwarto, as expected, it's a pure white interior design w/ one bathroom, two sets of couch, 54" LED TV on the wall that is currently off and a side table with full of basket of fruits.

Siguro, bumisita na ang mga magulang at kamag-anak niya. Pero, bakit naman siya iniwang mag-isa dito? Wala bang magbabantay sa kanya? Where are his parents? Or siblings, atleast? Or his friends?

Napadapo naman sa kama ang paningin ko, nakatabon sa buong katawan niya ang kumot (kasama ang mukha), balot na balot. Dito ako natawa, dahil ganito pala siya matulog. Nakakatuwa lang.

I tried to hid the smile that is forming my lips, but I just can't. Oh god! Everything he does, really make my body shiver. Everything he does, I really find it cute.

Bahagya kong ipinilig ang ulo ko. Shit! Anong nangyayari sa akin? Nababaliw na talaga 'yata ako? 😓

Naglakad ako papunta malapit sa hospital bed at umupo sa may isang stall na nakalagay malapit sa kama. Tinitigan ko ang mahimbing na natutulog na si Darius (kahit na nakatalikod ito at nakakumot ang buong katawan kasama ang mukha).
