I woke the next morning with the sound of yelling and laughing. This is literally what you wake up to when you live with a bunch of boys. I groggily opened my eyes, stretching my arms and legs. I slowly got up from bed, throwing my bed sheets to the side, and walked out of my room. I was wearing a pair of checkered pajamas and tight crop top that showed my figure and I could tell you, I was fairly cold. "What the hell is happening?" I mumbled, then yawned. I finally fully opened my eyes to see Steve and Two-Bit wrestling in the ground. "Should I even ask?" I said with a questionable look on my face.
"They're wrestling for the last piece of cake," Pony said with an amused look on his face.
"Well, it's mine now." I smirked and ran to the kitchen to get the piece of chocolate cake.
I walked back inside the living room to find Pony laughing, and Steve and Two-Bit stop wrestling to see me eating the cake they had been fighting for the past five minutes. They had the look of disbelief on their faces... And loss.
"Seriously!" Two-Bit whined, he huffed and sat back down on the floor, pouting like a baby.
"You're so cute when you pout," I laughed, patting his head. I sat next to Pony and turned to him. "Hey Pony."
« THIRD PERSON P.O.V »
"Hey Pony," Riley said, turning to the boy beside her. She gave him a small smile, which he returned back with an even bigger smile. The Winston won't admit it to herself but she may have started building feelings towards Ponyboy.
"Hey Rile, doing anything today?" Ponyboy asked nonchalantly, but secretly hoping her answer was a 'no.'
"Nah," She replied back with a goofy grin plastered to her face as Riley changed her position on the couch. She was now sitting upside down making Pony chuckle.
"Well, if you're not doing anything. Do you maybe just wanna hang out for the rest of the day?" Ponyboy shyly asked the girl in front of him. He awkwardly scratched the back of his neck, waiting for her answer. He couldn't really deny it anymore, he liked Riley Winston. The girl who's been tough all her life. The girl who didn't give a shit about almost anything. The girl who happens to be the sister of the one and only Dallas Winston. The girl who's brother will kill him for ever liking her.
"Hell yeah!" Riley answered making Ponyboy snap out of his daze and making him grin. "Let me just get ready," She smiled, then walked to her room.
Riley opened the door to her room before quickly slamming it back shut. She was that never girly of a person, but at this moment she squealed. Calm down Riley, it's just a day with Ponyboy. It's just gonna be like any other day. The head over heels girl quietly chuckled to herself. Riley opened her drawers, revealing her clothes. She quickly grabbed light washed skinny jeans, a fitted crop white t-shirt, and a pair of black worn down Chuck Taylor's. She looked herself in the mirror, analyzing whether this outfit was fine. Eh, looks fine to me.
Riley walked back to the living room to see Ponyboy wearing his purple jacket, jeans, and a pair of Converse.
Ponyboy finally noticed Riley and smiled. "Where do you wanna go first?" He asked, slumping by the doorframe as Riley walked towards him.
She shrugged, "Anywhere."
"Alright," Ponyboy said with a hint of amusement in his eyes. He opened the door for Riley while mockingly bowing, "Here you go, malady."
"Why thank you kind sir," Riley said laughing, while doing the same action as Pony did.
« BACK TO RILEY'S POV »
"So where do you wanna go first? Huh, Ponyboy?" I said, grinning from ear to ear. Pony started walking backwards in front of me, trying to stay ahead.
"Hmm, let's see. We can can go to the park then to the Dingo if you want." Pony said, almost tripping. I laughed, clutching my stomach. "Oh shut your trap Winston." Ponyboy said with a serious expression but soon, the sound of laughter came out of his mouth.
"Oooh I'm so scared," I said with a scared fake expression on my face. "Make me," I smirked, looking directly at Pony in the eyes. In the middle of rolling my eyes, I felt myself being lifted off the ground. I gasped, "PONYBOY MICHAEL CURTIS! IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU, YOU WILL PUT ME DOWN THIS INSTANT!"
I'm pretty sure you can hear me yelling bloody murder from a mile away.
Ponyboy clicked his tongue and shook his head. "Sorry Riley, no can do. This is what you get for laughing at me." He said, laughing. I can practically see him grinning from ear to ear, but unfortunately I can't since he was carrying me over his shoulders. "Ya know Rile, I actually have a pretty good view from here." Ponyboy said, laughing. Did he seriously just complement my ass?
I gasped again, but this time with a little more sass. "Never thought that Ponyboy Curtis would have be balls to say anything like that to someone! Much less to a lady!" I laughed, not even caring if someone saw us.
"There's a lot of stuff you don't know about me sweetheart," Ponyboy said, attempting to do a New York accent.
"Pony, as a native New Yorker, please shut up. That was so bad," I laughed, but also cringing in the inside.
"Oh shut it, I'm good at accents." Pony said with sass. He was still carrying me, walking normally as ever, not even bothered by the girl on his shoulders.
"Uh Pony, aren't you getting tired?" I said, starting to get worried. I mean, I'm not saying that he wasn't strong. It's just, if you look at Pony, his frame isn't exactly like Darry's.
"Nah," he said nonchalantly and kept walking.
"You're hard headed as a rock, ain't ya Ponyboy?" I chuckled then just relaxed my body, giving up the fight with him.
A few minutes later, we arrived at the Dingo. Ponyboy finally placed me back on the ground as he gave me a grin, pretending he was innocent of even carrying me. "You're one of a kind Mr. Curtis," I laughed, hooking my arm to Pony's. "Let's go, I'm hungry."
"You're hungry? You ate chocolate cake this morning and you didn't even walk here." Ponyboy laughed as he opened the door for me.
"It wasn't exactly my fault that a certain someone just decided to pick me up," I shot back, mockingly flipping my hair. We found a booth and sat down. We sat across from each other, waiting for a waiter.
"But the view was worth it though," he said jokingly. I can feel the heat climb up to my cheeks as he finished saying that sentence. I silently cursed at myself, I never blush. But I wasn't about to let him have the last laugh. Of course me, being the competitive one, I had to say something back.
"Hmm unfortunately, mine wasn't." I smirked, sighing sadly and shook my head disappointedly. I then turned to the waiter who was at our booth, ready to take our order.
