Laurance loved to play video games, and he loved the thought of virtual reality, he thought it would be great to do whatever he wanted with no consequences, but one day a game called Sword art online 2 came out (don't judge me!!!) and he couldn't wait to play
"Laurance are you sure, the last time a game developed by Akihiko Kayaba was out 4,000 kids died" Garroth said handing Laurance his nerve-gear
Laurance took it from Garroth and put it on "remember if I'm not back by 7:00 don't forcefully take this off of me" Laurance said laying down
"Fine but it's your funeral" Garroth said
"Link start" Laurance said, he when through all the steps and he was finally logged on "I'm back" he said clinching his fist
"Let me guess you're a beta tester" a girl said walking up to him "it did just come out, and you wouldn't say I'm back if you hadn't already been here" she said, she had (H/C) hair and (E/C) eyes
"You're right about the beta tester part, but everything about my avatar got reset" Laurance said
"Really but the beta testers had the choice to keep their skills, why didn't you" the girl said "what's your name"
"Names EmeraldBlade, and I didn't want to have an advantage over everyone else" Laurance said "what's your name"
"(A/N) (avatar name), EmeraldBlade that's pretty cool, why do you call yourself that" (A/N) said "what's your weapon"
"Well my avatars name is EmeraldBlade because every sword I use is made out of emerald or its green like emerald" Laurance said "and this is my weapon" Laurance pulled out a hand and a half hilted, double edged long-sword that was as green as an emerald and a green shield
"Woah so you got rid of your stats but kept a legendary weapon, and you said you didn't want to have an advantage" (A/N) said
"Oh shut up, I worked my butt off getting this, it took all 8 months to get it" Laurance said "what's your weapon anyway"
"This" she said, (A/N) pulled a (F/C) long bow
"Really a bow, you know those thing are basically useless here" Laurance said
"Not if you use it right, if you get your bow skills up enough you can basically snipe the boss from outside its room" (A/N) said "and anyway I've been online since three in the morning and I've already gotten my bow skills up enough to take on the boss"
"Wow, you know we could work together, it could work out for the both of us in a way, you get the range on the monsters and I hold them off up close, just don't hit me you hear" Laurance said
"I guess that could work, sure why not" she said
Laurance opened his menu and sent a party invitation to (A/N) "why not join a party to make it easier for us" Laurance asked, she clicked the accept button and nodded at Laurance "right let's go"
They fought together until Laurance was at the same level as (A/N), Laurance looked at the corner of his vision and saw the time in the real world "well I have to go before my friend freaks out about me not taking the gear off yet" Laurance said opening his menu
He was about to click the log out button "EmeraldBlade wait" (A/N) said
"Yeah" Laurance said looking back at her
"We should meet up in real life, you know to get to know each other better" she said
"Will do" Laurance clicked the log out button and opened his eyes
"Geez you took forever, I was actually starting to think Akihiko Kayaba locked you guys in again" Garroth said
"Hey I know you survived on that slim chance that Kirito would beat the final boss but you and aph survived, so stop worrying" Laurance said "you should try it again, the virtual world is still pretty great"
"Yeah maybe, but anyway I'm going to bed" Garroth said walking out of Laurence's room
Next day
Laurance ran towards the school when he bumped into someone "woah sorry" Laurance said helping the person up, he saw it was a girl "hey you look familiar"
She looked at him for a minute before saying anything "EmeraldBlade?" She asked
Laurance nodded "yep, (A/N)?" Laurance asked, she nodded
"This is great now we can get to know each other in the real world" (A/N) said "so what's your real name"
"Laurance what's yours" Laurance asked
"(Y/N)" she said
"Well it's nice to finally meet you, come one let's get to class" Laurance said, and they walked off together
I know Akihiko Kayaba is dead ok, so don't tell me off about it, also please comment what your avatars name would be for SAO or ALO
