Katelyn POV
Flashback
I was sitting on a rock with my Best friend Laurance, we were watching the sun set, at the time I had a huge Crush on him but I just couldn't bring myself to tell him
When the sun finally set I jumped up and pulled Laurance with me "ok I challenge you to a flip contest, whoever does the best flip off of the rock wins" I said
"Your on, me first" he said, he jumped and did a front flip with a perfect landing
I smirked and turned around, I jumped and did a back flip, but I didn't land right and I slipped, I tried to catch myself but I just ended up crushing my fingers under my weight "ouch ouch ouch ouch" I said quickly flinging my hand in the air in an attempt to cool off the burning sensation
Laurance crouched down beside me and took my hand "you know my mom once told me a kiss can fix anything" he said, he lowered his head and kissed the top of my hand, I blushed and tried to shake it away but I failed "does it feel any better" he asked
Truthfully it did feel better "yeah but how" i asked
He winked at me "that's a secret"
Flashback over
I was sitting beside Vylad, we were currently on watch since Aphmau decided to find Laurance, to be honest I still had a small crush on Laurance but it wasn't anything I couldn't deal with
"Vylad you get some sleep I can take it from here" I said lowly so I didn't wake anyone
"It's fine I don't need to sleep" he said
I stood up "if your not going to sleep then I will" I said, I turned and walked to the tent where Aphmau and Garroth were asleep, I nudged Garroth awake
"Huh, Katelyn? What do you want" he asked tiredly
"Do you think you could take my shift on watch, I'm a little tired" I said faking a yawn
He nodded and got up "sure, get some sleep we have a lot of work to do tomorrow" he said walking out, when he sat down next to Vylad I got up and walked past the tent, there's no way in H*ll I'm letting Aphmau get herself killed trying to find Laurance, I walked in that direction for a bit before circling back and head for the werewolf village
When I got there it looked just as abandoned as the last time I saw it, I walked to where the nether portal was and stood in front of it for a bit "here goes nothing" I said walking through it, when I got through I was instantly meet with a red sword to my throat "hey Laurance" I said to the familiar brunette in from of me
"Katelyn what are you doing here" he growled
"I came to bring you back with me, everyone is worried" I said, I put a finger on the smooth side of his blade and pushed it down
"You do realize now that I answered the calling the next time I see Aphmau I'll end up killing her" he said lowering his sword
"And she's got a Shadow knight, an ex jury of the nine member, and a relic wielder to stop you, as well as her own relic to hold you off if you even get close to her" I said "but I didn't come to tell you your going to loose, I came to tell you to come back" I said
"But" he said and I cut him off
"With me" I finished
"I would have thought by now you would have hated me" he said turning away
"Laurance I could never hate you" I said putting a hand on his shoulder
"THEN WHY DID YOU AVOID ME" he shouted pushing my hand off and turning to me
"I don't know what you mean" I said flinching away
"The minute you got to Phoenix drop and I told you about my feelings for Aphmau you started to avoid me, is there something wrong with me liking a girl" he growled, I saw the tears brimming his eyes "and you know the worst part of it, I didn't have my best friend to go to when I needed her because she was avoiding me" he fell to the ground and tucked his knees into his chest "when we were younger I had the biggest crush on you, and when I met Aphmau I thought my feelings for you went away, but it hurt when you started to avoid me, and it hurt even more when you started taking a liking to Travis" a tear rolled down his face and the stone around my heart crumbled
I knelt down in front of him and made him look me in the eyes "you once told me a kiss could fix anything" I said, i leaned in until our lips brushed "I want to know if you were right" I whispered and then closed the space between us
We stayed like that for what felt like hours but was really just a few seconds, I pulled away and looked into his shock filled eyes, I smiled a fake smile and my vision blurred with tears "I guess you were wrong" I croaked, I got up and ran back through the portal
I got through and I came face to face with Aphmau "Katelyn what happened" she asked softly, I frowned and she wrapped her arms around me in a hug "it's ok"
"I think I just need some time to myself" I said, she pulled away and patted my shoulder
"Ok, Vylad, Garroth lets go" they turned and walked back to the camp sight
I sat down and leaned against the cave wall, why did I do that, he probably hates me now, I thought to myself
"Thanks" I looked over at Laurance in his old outfit with his emerald sword on his shoulder, he was smiling down at me "for fixing my broken heart" he said
I jumped up and wrapped my arms around his neck "I thought you would have hated me" I said
"Katelyn I could never hate you" he said
After that Katelyn and Laurance went back to where Aphmau, Garroth, and Vylad were waiting for them, Laurnace lived happily with both Katelyn and Aphmau in his life
But now he knows which one he truly loves
