It's Monday morning and I'm well rested. I was off of work yesterday and I didn't do anything. I literally sat in a chair next to the window reading a book. The Outsiders... Oh how I love that book. I've read it at least twenty times in my lifetime. I'm already ready and waiting for Mr Dante to pick me up.
I open the door and see Chris is standing there looking at me.
"Good morning Mrs Sander's I'm here to bring you to the office this morning" he says
"Oh..okay Chris thanks" I reply
I'm a little let down that it's Chris bringing me to work instead of Mr Dante.
The entire ride to Dante Industries I looked out the window day dreaming and thinking about Mr Dante.
I wonder why he didn't come pick me up. Maybe he regrets hiring me to work for him. I'm so confused I just don't know what to think anymore.
The way he touched my arms when cleaning the wine off of me was so gentle and loving. The way he placed the necklace on my neck.. I mean he kissed the side of my neck for gosh sakes. All of this has to be for a reason.
He can have any woman in the entire world so of course he would never fall for me. I have nothing to offer him. He was just being nice with giving me a necklace and cleaning the wine off. I think that I'm thinking too much about this.
I go up to my office and on the way there I see the large glass window in Mr Dante's office is covered with the large blinds. Normally the window covering will be open so he can make sure everyone is working.
I go to my office and check the schedule, I see the first meeting of the day is at 4 pm and it's the only meeting. I guess today will be an easy day.
I look at the schedule for the next two months and start making notes of all events I have to attend with Mr Dante.
I grab the file that contains information on Ken' Kable which is the company we have a meeting with at 4 and walk towards the bookshelf to place it on Mr Dante's desk. Before I can open the bookshelf I hear a loud voice coming from his office. I pull on the bookshelf creating a small crack to listen.
"Look Amber you cheated on me! I gave you everything. You were my world. I took a chance with you and you screwed me over! I can't believe you would do that to me" I hear him say.
I can feel the pain in his words. His pain is sharp like a sword and I feel pity for him. He's such a great man. Who was this girl that would cheat on a man like Keegan Dante.. She must be a crazy fool.
"Please Keegan don't leave me. We are meant to be together. I'm so sorry. I'll do anything to have you back. It was a mistake that should have never happened. Please I will never hurt you again." She says
She's lying she just wants his money. She's craves the Dante fame.
"Amber do not touch me. I don't want your filthy hands anywhere near me. Do you know that I bought you a ring? I was going to propose to you last night On Top of the rooftop. I had planned on spending my life with you. I had our engagement party already planned that is until you ruined it. You lost the only good man that cared about you. I see why your so alone and lonely... Look at how you hurt people! Brian is at my house now packing the few items you have at my house. He will bring them to your house. Leave my office now" he says in a very sad yet angry tone of voice
"Keegan.... Please baby..."
"I SAID LEAVE AMBER!!" He yells
"NO I'm not going anywhere" she says
I hear my work phone being paged
"Yes?" I say as I press the button
"Miss Sander's please get security to my office immediately thank you"
