Calum placed the last bag into the car with a small huff. He slid his sunglasses over his eyes as he shut the trunk and watched Luke walk over to him. Luke smiled at him, wrapping his arms around the boy's shoulders.
"Don't tell Ashton where we're going, okay? I wanna be alone with my best friend for a while," Luke said. Calum nodded, hugging Luke's waist.
"He's barely talking to me anyways. He's still mad at me for what I said to Michael, apparently I really hurt him," Calum shrugged sadly.
"Let's just go," Luke said, waving his hands. "Turn our phones off for today at least. Just forget about everything," Luke said. Calum nodded firmly, smiling as he pulled away from their hug.
"Let's go. Did you lock the doors?" Calum asked as he got into the driver's seat.
"Doors and windows. I even changed the hiding spot of the spare key," Luke said, buckling himself into the passenger seat. Calum nodded as he started driving, watching their house fade from his view as he drove further down the road.
"Do you remember when we were fourteen, and we went on that awesome school trip to California?" Luke asked. "We stayed in those shitty hotels and every night we would get two bottles of coke and spend ten dollars at the vending machines and watch mean girls?" Calum laughed, nodding his head as he turned on to the freeway.
"I do. I threw up because I ate too many mini reese's peanut butter cups, and you got super high off of what Johnny Cowoski sold to you," Calum laughed.
"Oh my god, I forgot about that!" Luke laughed.
"Of course you did, you were high as fuck!" Calum pointed out. Luke laughed, propping his feet up on the dashboard.
"That was a good trip though. I specifically remember you getting all flustered and shy when Timmy H. asked you to make out with him in his hotel room," Luke said, poking Calum's cheek. Calum blushed, rolling his eyes as he smacked Luke's hand.
"He did it so wrong though. His tongue was practically down my throat and his hands were far too experimental," Calum said. Luke laughed, shaking his head as he reached into the back seat and grabbed the grocery bag that they filled with snacks and drinks.
"You thought it was the best thing ever at the time. You were fourteen and we had very little experience," Luke pointed out.
"Very true. Do you remember our first kiss? We were twelve and we just wanted to get it over with so we kissed each other," Calum said.
"Vividly. Your mum walked in, very awkwardly smiled, and walked out. I begged her not to tell my parents because I was afraid of what they would think," Luke sighed, "I miss them. They were assholes but I miss them" he said. Calum nodded, placing his hand on Luke's.
"I love you, Lukey. Brothers?" Calum asked. Luke smiled, kissing Calum's knuckles.
"I love you too, Cally. Brothers," Luke said. Calum had to take his hand away from Luke's when he needed to switch lanes. The blonde looked inside of the bag and grabbed a bag of Doritos, ripping the bag open and grabbed two bottles of coke.
