Background/ Prequel

 After my mother died I kept to myself, My best friend Kade went away, and never came back. Sara was still around and she as the only one that never asked me if I was alright. I hated being ask that. I had to stay strong since I was the Alpha's daughter. Years pasted and I started to open up to more people, I became friends with more  and more. They all weren't good friends like Sara, but they made my dad happy.

            My dad never really had time for us anymore since my mother died, each year that past we got farther and farther apart. It was sad, I did become closer to my sister and brother though. When my brother turned 15 he left, I was only 10, my sister was 16. I heard talk about her being mated to an Alpha of the pack South of here. My Sister wasn't that happy to hear that. She came to my room that night and cried, she told me that she found her true mate and now they will never be together. I hugged her till she fell asleep. I headed for my fathers office, he spends all his time in there now.

"Dad, we need to talk." I said pushing the door open.

"About what?" He asked me and he didn't even look up at me.

"About the mating of my sister and the Alpha." I told him, he finally looked up at me.

"That's non of your business." My father warned me.

"I want to trade spots with her." I said like I didn't even hear him, he just started laughing at me.

"Why would you want to do that? Besides your to young." He asked.

"She found her true mate." I told him, there was no emotion in my voice, even though I was afraid right now.

"She what?!" He screamed out. I couldn't help but flinch back a little. He started to mutter things to himself. I started to back out of the room. He shot a look at me, I saw in his eyes that he was angry and I didn't want to be in this room anymore.

"Stay." He ordered me in his Alpha voice, I hated when he used it. I stopped where I was.

"That's a nice thing that you want to do for your sister, but you are too young." He told me in a kind voice. I nodded my head and he waved a hand telling me to get out now. I was thankful to be out of there, when I close the door I heard banging on the something so I ran, back to my room. 

            I opened the door and my sister was just waking up, I ran to her and told her what happen. She just looked at me funny after I was done. Then she hugged my close and never said anything but thank you.

(6 years later)

            I was outside playing and having a great time in my wolf form, it was fall out but it was still shorts weather. I was out in my wolf form, wresting with Sara and some of the other teens that I didn't know who they were. It was nice, we practice fighting, but never really hurt each other. I heard my father whistle ad I stop and look over towards the house. My father was standing on the front porch with the beta and another male. He saw me looking and waved his hand for me to come over. I ran over and when  reached the steps I changed into a human.

"Raine, this is the Alpha from up North. He came here asking for a mating between his son, which will be Alpha soon and you. I told him you would do it." My father explained to me. Great, just great.

"Ok." Was all I said, the Alpha looked at me and smiled. I smiled back to be polite. The first thing that went through my head was that my father set me up with an Alpha from another pack.....
