Betrayal (completed and redone)

The Beginning

That night was great, Seth came home about an hour after we all finished eating dinner. He gave me a kiss and headed for his office he told me not to wait up for him that he was going to working late. I went up late that night after watching a horror movie with Riley, Faith and Carter. I woke up early this morning to find that Seth never came to bed last night, I went down to the kitchen to find Faith sitting at the table reading. I saw that she was reading Showdown, it was by Ted Dekker. I've read some of his book he was really good.

"Good morning dear." She told me when I walked into the kitchen.

"Morning." I muttered to her.

"How are you?"

"Alright. Hey have you seen Seth?" I asked her.

"Um..He left late last night. " She told me and looked down really quickly. She was hiding something.

"Ok, What are you hiding?" I asked her as I sat down across from her.

"Nothing." She said it a little too quickly, I'll figure this out one way.

"Tell me." I told her, my voice became low as I said the order.

"He went to see Jada." She told me in a high scared voice.

"Why?" I asked her.

"I don't know he just said it was important, and then he left."

"Ok.." I told her and walked back up stairs to get ready. I figured I would walk to Jada's house and see what is wrong. I ran into the bed room when I got to the top of the stairs and I got a quick shower. I pulled on my favorite pair of black jeans and a t-shirt. I headed down the stairs and out the door. I took off at a run and changed, soon four paws were on the ground and I was building up speed.  Its been a while since I let my wolf out, she was howling inside my head. I let her take over till we got to the house. Then I would have to change back

            I watched as my wolf took off into the woods in the direction of Jada's house. there were five houses total in the packs territory, I didn't know who owned which house yet, but I knew that Jada's was this was because I could smell Seth. I was running for about three minutes till I came to a clearing with a small rancher looking house. I changed back into human form and headed for the door. I saw people moving around inside the house, but I couldn't make out what they were doing the windows were tinted. weird, I thought to myself. I went up too the door and knocked.

"Who is it? I heard a women's voice on the other side.

"Raine." I called out.

"Just a minute."  About five minutes later Jada answered the door I could finally see her better and she was pretty, had long black hair, and brilliant blue eyes.

"Can I help you?" She had this smart ass tone.

"I'm looking for Seth." I told her.

"He's not here."

"Don't lie to me." I told her and pointed a finger at her. I knew my voice was lethal because she took a step back.

"I'm not." I raised my eyebrow at her. "Now leave." She told me.  I turned into my wolf and left her house. I knew she was lying, I could still smell Seth there and I could hear him faintly. But why would she lie to me? I asked myself. I walked into the woods I didn't feel like running, and neither did my wolf. I felt sick, I didn't know why but I did. I headed for where I knew there would be a lake, for some reason I always felt better when I was near water.

            My wolf started to run north, I guess she thought that water was that way. I didn't know though. About 10 minutes later we broke into a clearing with a lake in the middle of it. My wolf ran right up to it and started to play in the water. I couldn't help but laugh at her. She got out of the water five minutes later and laid down right by it, and fell asleep.

Seth's POV

            I should have left when Raine came by the door, I couldn't believe that I was betraying her like this. She deserved better then me. I watched as Jada came back and started to kiss me.
