Betrayal (completed and redone)

The Meeting

Raine's POV

            We laid next to each other for what felt like hours, but I knew that it was only a couple of minutes. Kade had his arms wrapped around me and his eyes were closed. "Kade, we need to go meet everyone out in the clearing." I told him. He gave a soft groan, but didn't open his eyes or move. "Kade." I said his name. I kissed him on the cheek and moved out from under his arms. I headed for the stairs but I didn't get that far, because I felt arms go around me and I was lifted off the ground. Kade carried me back to bed and throw me on it.

"Kade!" I yelled at him.

"What?" he asked me all innocent like.

"We have to go meet everyone in the clearing." I told him, but pretended to whine.

"If we must, then give me a minute or two to get a shower." He said and I watched as he grabbed some clothes and headed into the bathroom.

            I jumped out of bed and paced around the room waiting for him to get done. I pulled out my phone and saw that I had two new messages. One was from Sara, and the other was from Carter. I opened Sara's first.

Hey, girl its been forever. What you up too now a days?

I texted back.  Nothing much, found out that I had a true mate :). Wbu?

I opened up Carter's message, it read.

Where are you at?

I'll be right there! I texted back. A few minutes later I got a reply from Carter.

Hurry up. Riley wants to start. I told him that you were on your way.

Ok good,  I'm waiting for Kade to finish up so we can leave.  I told him and put my phone back in my pocket. Kade came out of the bathroom fully dress and ready to go a couple minutes later.

"Ready?" I asked him. He kissed me and smile down at me.

"Yes. Lets go." And he grabbed my hand and led me up the stairs and out of the house. When we stepped outside I pulled my hand away and changed into my wolf. It felt good to be in my wolf form again. I looked over to see that Kade had changed into his wolf form too.

            His wolf was about a foot taller then mine and had pure white fur and the deepest black eyes ever. I walked over and licked his face. I nuzzled his side and ran into the woods. He came up beside me and we were running together. My wolf gave off a howl to let the other pack members know we were coming. Five minutes later we broke through to the clearing and Kade and me changed back and sat down on Faith's blanket that she offered to us. Kade wrapped his arms around me and pulled me onto his lap.

"Ok we are all here now." Riley announced.

Kade's POV

"Ok, some news on our real Alpha, he will be back in a couple of hours." Riley told us all. Good, I thought then I can challenged him and take his spot. I had a huge grin on my face as I listened to Riley talk.

"That's all really unless some wants to add anything?" He throw the question out there, I raised my hand and moved Raine out of my lap and stood up.

"I do." I said and everyone looked back at me.

"Yes, Kade." Riley said.

"Does everyone know the Alchemy Family?" I asked and looked around they all nodded there head yes, so I continued, "I am Kade Alchemy." I heard a few gasped go through the crowd.

"Prove it." Someone yelled, I didn't know who it was. I changed my eye color to black, they were blue when I entered the clears. I heard a lot more gasps' go through the pack this time. They all watched as I changed my eyes to a bright green. I heard them murmuring something about he is, and oh God, what is he doing here? I chuckled quietly to myself.

"You all must be wondering why am I here?" I said more like a question then a statement. "I'm here because this is the pack that my parents chose for me to take control of." I told them and looked them all in the eyes, a few turned and looked away.

"Please don't look at me differently." I told everyone and I watched as they saw sadness in my eyes when they looked away from me. I gave them a smile and sat down, I pulled Raine back on my lap and I rested my head on top of hers.

"Alright, if that's all then we are done here." Riley told everyone and they started to pack up there blankets. "Oh, Kade, can I speak to you?" Riley asked me.

"Yeah, what do you need?" I asked him and I stood up. Raine grabbed my hand she stood beside me.

"Are you really an Alchemy?" He asked me, I guess he just wanted to make sure. I nodded my head yes. "Can I see your Tattoo then, that proves it?"

"Sure." I told him and I lifted up my shirt, right about where my heart is was my family crest. If you are an Alchemy you are born with it. I looked at Raine as she stared at my exposed chest. I couldn't help but laugh at her.
