Laughing, dancing, and smiling, what was supposed to be a fun trip turned into a nightmare in a few short seconds

The boat rocked gently casting a shadow across the expansive ocean. The waves were calm.

"Hey is it just me or is the sun setting quickly?"

"Nah, it's fine we can just keep going, there's still enough light."

An expression of worry flashed across someone's face but quickly dissipated.

"Alright" A reluctant voice sighed

The music continued, laughing echoed throughout the boat.

"Dance with me?" An outstretched hand tempted a girl away from where she was seated.

"Sure."

Music echoed, dancing continued, the boat still rocked gently.

The wind started to pick up all of a sudden.

A loud thunderous boom was heard in the distance.

"What the...."

"Where did that storm come from?"

Heads glanced into the distance, looking for the storm.

The boat that once rocked gently started to jerk unsteadily with the waves.

"Hey! Steer away from that storm please!" a frantic voice echoed

"What does It look like I'm doing!" An angry and terrified captain responded

With one glance away from the wheel, nor more than one second, a loud CRACK echoed.

Something broke, something splintered into thousands of tiny pieces. Some of the vessel disappeared deep into the dark abyss below.

The boat started tilting, creaking eerily across the water. Almost as if it could swim, if only there was less weight...

Yelling echoed among the thunder, loud roars of the unsettled waves threatened to swallow the boat whole into the dark wide open gapping unknown.

"This is all your fault!" a shout accused

"If you wouldn't have made me keep going we wouldn't be in this mess!" an angry retort spewed

"Oh yeah? Then what should I have done?" a mocking tone questioned

"There was no stopping that storm docked or not." a calm voice responded

"I didn't steer us into a bunch of rocks!"

"Whose boat is this! Last I checked it's mine and you can't sail!" an angry captain retorted

"Guys shut up!"

"What are we going to do about this water!" a concerned voice asked

"We are going to be under the waves in a matter of seconds." a hopeless realization

The storm was getting closer, the waves were starting to crash into the boat more violently. The floor was one with the ocean and the vessel was starting to sink more rapidly

Tears streamed down someone's face, or was it water from the waves?

"Quickly grab onto something and save whatever food you can."

"Take my hand!" someone yelled over the storm offering their hand

CRACK the boat started to splinter apart. More pieces joining its family at the bottom of the sea. The waves hungry now started devouring what they could claiming the ship now. It would not wait any longer

A scream echoed, a splash was heard

"JANE!" another splash was heard

The waves were restless, the sky was dark, thunder boomed, rain fell heavily onto the vast ocean below.

"Idiots!" Another splash was heard

Only two people were motionless, one was frozen with fear.

"Lily, come on, we have to swim." She still didn't move even with water up to her waist she was glued to her seat.

Hands shook her shoulders trying to snap her back into reality.

"Come on, please we have to-" A wave cut the voice off

Gasping, splashing, screaming, everything was chaos.

A head emerged from the sea, bobbing, trying to stay afloat amongst the storm.

"TRENTON!" A scream echoed

No one answered.

The waves pulled somewhere away from the storm, away from the pain.

Soon there was no gasping, and a lone girl lay stranded on a beach.
