Chapter 21 Wow These People Have Problems

When I finally made it to the Dark Moon Tribes shabby refuge I realized how few people there were.

There was Silver Wind, a tall guy with silver hair and greyish eyes.

The two other guys who I didn't know were kinda cowering whenever Silver Wind said something. It's like they feared him, Silver Wind doesn't even scare me. I mean come on he's not going to kill me until Jack is here, and even when Jack is here what would killing me solve?

I really hope Jack gets here soon Silver Wind left a note...

"Strider, Swift Breeze, get this one in ropes." Strider, an insanely tall guy with light blue hair and eyes nodded.

"Come on you." Swift Breeze, a shorter muscular guy with dark chestnut hair and green eyes, poked my back lightly and I let him take me prisoner.

They led me to a different room away from Silver Wind. Striders grip on my wrists loosed a little, I was tempted to try and escape but I wanted to know the meaning behind these guys.

"Hey look we're sorry about our boss, Silver Wind, he can be a little... well rude and curt. He's a nice guy he just has the wrong motives." Swift Breeze admitted

"So why do you guys follow him then?" I asked

"We don't have anywhere else to go. We were born to this tribe and if we leave it's not like we can seek refuge in the Crescent Moon Tribe..." Strider looked at the ground

"Well maybe we can stage something when Jack gets here, if you guys escape with us he may be able to prove your innocence."

Strider smiled, "That's very kind of you Lily Erindale, but I think it's too late for us." Swift Breeze nodded

"It's never too late turn your life around."

Strider and Swift Breeze looked at each other and nodded. Then they told me everything.

Jack pov

I finally reached the refuge of the Dark Moon Tribe.

"Silver Wind!" I yelled

"Jack, it's nice to see you again you look well." Silver Wind responded from the top of a crude staircase

"Cut the talk Silver Wind where did you put Lily." I growled

"Oh the little wolf boy has a growl." he snickered before gesturing off into the distance.

A few seconds later Lily appeared with two men following her. I was so relieved to see her but she was desperately trying to escape.

"Lily!" I called out to her

"Jack!" She answered back with a few tears in her eyes

"Now that you see your beautiful flower is still intact you'll tell me what I want to know."

"What do you want to know?"

Silver Winds face broke into an expression of pure madness that I've never seen before on another person.

"What I want to know! I want to know how to obtain the moon's power!" he cackled

Jack laughed, "Unless you're secretly a pure maiden there's no way you can obtain the moon's knowledge."

This time Silver Wind was the one laughing, "I'm already on the inside Jack I know how to obtain a maiden, now tell me how to obtain the moon's power!"

"The moon needs to accept a maiden and only then can she obtain the moon's power and use it however she chooses."

Silver Wind laughed maniacally again, "I already know that much Jack, I want to know who the maiden is!"

Jack just looked at him in confusion

"I don't know who the maiden is."

"Oh! You don't now!" Silver Wind gestured at Lily

I thought the two holding her were going to hurt her, but instead they just let her go. Lily quickly muttered something to them before running to me.

"W-What are you imbeciles doing?!!?!"

"We are done serving you, you mistreat us and we never wanted the moon's power anyways." the tall one spoke

"Fine then I'll just do thing myself!" Silver Wind jumped down from the staircase but before he could get very far the two who just released Lily stopped him.

"What is wrong with you guys today!" Silver Wind sighed

"We're not going to let you hurt her!" The shorter one called

Silver Wind sighed once more and started to attack his own men.

I felt a tug at my sleeve,

"Jack let's go." Lily tugged at my sleeve once more and we started to make our way out of there when we got a visitor.
