Chapter 24 Nightmares

I was a bystander as I saw Silver Wind kill both Strider and Swift Breeze viciously. I couldn't move, or speak, all I could do was watch as two innocent people were killed. I wanted to help them I really did...

The scene changed and I watched Jack kill the red haired girl with the same violent way as Silver Wind killed Strider and Swift Breeze.

I wanted to scream at him to stop, but I couldn't. I wanted to lunge at him before he swung his dagger, but I couldn't. I didn't even know her well but I pitied her...

Then everything faded black and Silver Wind looked directly at me.

"I'm not dead yet Lily, I'm coming to get you!" Silver Wind cackled maniacally.

I wanted it to stop!

I didn't want to hear him laugh.

I wanted it to all stop...

I jolted awake in a cold sweat. I looked around me just to make sure I was alone.

When I was absolutely positive I was I grabbed a blanket and draped it around me, then I got up. I decided to go find Jack because right now I could really use a hug. When I left my hut two guards were on post and they looked at me.

"Is everything okay m'lady?" One asked me

I just nodded and headed into Jack's hut.

"Jack?" I called out realizing he was probably sleeping or so I thought until he answered back.

"Lily?" Jack got up and stood by me, "What's wrong my precious flower?"

"I-I just had a nightmare and couldn't fall back asleep..."

"Do you want to sleep with me then?" Jack asked politely

I only nodded and followed him to his hammock.

I climbed in first awkwardly and Jack followed

"Come here." He beckoned

I blushed but then snuggled up in his arms. Jack wrapped me in a tight embrace and stroked my hair and back.

"It's okay no one can hurt you now."

And before long I fell asleep.

"Good morning Lily." Someone called out to me

I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, "Morning." I answered

When I opened my eyes I saw Jack smiling before me

My eyes got wide and I blushed a deep crimson as I realized that I slept with him last night.

"Oh you don't have to be so embarrassed, it's not like we did anything."

"W-Well that doesn't make it any less embarrassing!" I blushed again as Jack laughed at me. He stroke my hair and brushed some sleep out of my eyes. Then he kissed me softly and sweetly. When he pulled away he looked into my eyes.

"I love you Lily Erindale."

"I love you too Jack Frost." I answered

We both smiled and laid there for a little bit longer
