Wake me up. Dan X reader

March 2nd

*Two months later*

The clouds glided across the baby blue sky.

You ran through the long luscious grass, new flower buds brushed against your bare legs. Butterflies weaved through branches and landed on succulent green leaves.

You looked over your shoulder, a smiling Dan ran behind you his knees just visible through the long unruly blades of grass.

In the distance you saw Zoe and everyone gathered on a red tartan blanket.

You both stopped abruptly. You felt Dan's hands slide over your waist, he pulled you into an embrace.

You turned to him. The sun beamed upon his soft brown hair, it was curly and framed his eyes perfectly.

He cupped your face and stroked your cheeks with his thumbs. He kissed your lips gently.

You walked behind him and jumped onto his back. He held your legs. He spun around with you.

In the distance you saw Zoe vlogging, she turned the camera in your direction as Dan kissed your cheek. You smiled and waved at the camera.

Dan sped up and ran towards Phil. He dropped you slowly and you slid down his legs.

You ran towards Phil hand in hand. Dan let go and stuffed his hands in his pockets. You sprinted to Phil and hugged him tightly.

Dan followed and high fived Phil.

The three of you joined the others.

Zoe was vlogging with Alfie, Joe was talking to Caspar and Louise was making daisy chains with Darcy.

You walked over to Darcy and handed her another daisy chain, you tie it around her wrist. She beams at you and pulls you over to a hill.

You both lie down on your stomachs, you take each others hands and roll down the hill.

She hops up and brushes her dress down. Her tiny pink shoes jumped up with her little legs.

She dragged you back to the picnic.

You sit back with Dan and Phil.

Darcy hobbles over to Dan and hands him a daisy chain, he smiles. She carefully places it on his head. "Now you look pretty Dan!" She sang proudly.

"Was I not pretty before?"

She shook her head, you all laughed.

Dan huddles up with you.

"You're great with children, Darcy loves you."

Zoe's jaw dropped.

"Whoa there, slow down Howell!" You laugh.

"What I mean is if we were to have a child you would be an excellent mother... To that child." He coughed.

Zoe's jaw dropped lower.

"Smooth!" Caspar shouted.

Dan blushed.

Darcy ran over to Phil and stood behind him. She put his hair into a hair tie. He turned around and tickled her. She giggled the whole time.

They ran off and began a long game of tag.

Eventually Dan and you joined in. By five o clock everyone was playing an epic game of tag.

Zoe set up the camera and filmed you all running around like maniacs.

Dan was 'it', he looked at you and darted towards you. You dodged his hand.

"Don't think so!" You laughed.

He tagged your shoulder when you weren't looking.

"You were saying!" He sang.

You tagged Darcy, she tagged joe and so on.

At the end you all walked back to the picnic and set up a fire.

The blazing flames put Darcy to sleep on Louise's lap.

Dan opened his arms so you sat beside him.

He wrapped a blanket around you both. You rested your head on his shoulder as he rubbed your arm.

You melted into his body.

Alfie was doing the same to Zoe, and even Caspar was doing it to joe as a joke.

You all laughed and mocked joe. Everyone tried to stay quiet to avoid waking Darcy.

You looked at Dan, the warm half light cast shadows upon his face enhancing the power of his gorgeous deep dimples.

He touched your chin and kissed your lips lightly. Louise smiled at you both.

"I've missed this. I've missed spending time with you guys." She said.

You all nodded in agreement.

"Thanks to you guys I'm feeling better than ever, you never have to miss it again. I want to spend as much time as possible with all of you," you look at Dan, "I feel like I can properly live now. Thank you."

Every one goes silent and smiles at you.

Dan kisses you again.

"Thank you" you say.
