Phil shook your shoulder and poked Caspar and joe. You clambered of the plane in an excited bundle. You hailed a taxi to the hotel.

Beautiful, glass doors leading to a wide balcony. A four poster bed with soft, white, linen curtains that flow in the sweet Hawaiian breeze. Mirrored surfaces, glass sculptures and wooden floors. You changed into a black bikini, denim shorts and a lace kimono. Dan threw on swimming shorts and an open shirt.

You met up with the others and ran down to the beach.

White, warm sand, moulding around your toes and heating your heels. The sun beat down on your legs and shone on your neck. Caspar pulled out a football, he and joe ran around like children.

Phil joined them and winked at Dan, "Good luck!" He mouthed.

Dan laughed and took your hand gently.

It was sunset.

You were in Hawaii.

You were alone.

On the beach.

He lead you to a wooden seating area, there stood a hammock beneath a tall palm tree.

He sat down first, pulling you to join him he wrapped his arms around you.

You looked in his eyes. You could never forget those gorgeous, brown eyes. They were entrancing, they were powerful, they were beautiful. And you of all people had the pleasure of watching them (centimeters away from your face) in the incredible Hawaiian sunset...

You touch his cheek, his breath is steady and calm against your hand. He leans in and kisses your lips passionately. You melt into his arms and place your hand on his head. As his kisses soften, you stroke his hair and pull away.

He smiles at you and blushes. Even now, after everything, he still gets embarrassed around you. But then again, you do the same.

"I can't really believe that this is actually happening. I can't believe what's happened either. Five incredible months, not easy, but still incredible because... You've been there... With me. You stayed with me (most of the time) despite everything. We were just fans of each other, until one day, you hit me. No pun intended," he laughs, "It might be too soon, it might be too much, it might be too crazy. But when has anything not been. Here goes, you are incredible. I may have been with you for five months but I've known you for years. I can't imagine being with anybody else. We've taken turns saving each other's lives, we've broken up, we've seen each other at our worst and at our best, we've shared a lifetime of memories through YouTube and in person, we've fallen in love, we've made friends, we've hit milestones and moved in together, we've found ourselves through each other. I know I've been a shitty boyfriend at times, I know I've not always been there for you, but I know I can change that. So, I promise to be there, forever. Y/N, will you marry me?"

You feel a tear trickle down your face, you kiss Dan over and over.

"So is that a yes?" He laughs.

You nod and wrap your arms around his neck.

Soft music is enacting from a nearby theatre.

He stands up and offers a hand to you, you take it and walk over to the edge of the beach.

The sea just touched your feet.

His hands slid to your waist, your arms were slung around his neck.

You began to sway in time with the music, your head was pressed against his chest. His heartbeat was strong, it was fast, it was powerful.

It was beating for you...
