Wake me up. Dan X reader

Again

I hear a faint knocking on the wall.

Y/N tapped three times.

I tap back and hear tears. She loves me, I don't know why.

She runs over and swings the door open swiftly.

She stops dead in her tracks.

I'm looking at the moon, it's still got me in a trance. My eyes locked forward.

I hear a sob and a hand makes contact with my bare shoulder sending shivers up my spine.

I turn around mid sob and the tears keep falling.

We both go silent and stand in front of the window looking at the moon.

We glance at each other and watch each other cry silently with no expression on our faces.

The third time I look at her I pull her close to my chest. She huddles into me and gazes up at me like a child.

"Please Dan, tell me what's going on. I need you back. I need Dan back, please." She begs.

I walk over to the piano and sit down. Music fills the room.

She cries on the spot beside me. We watch the moon. Her hand still on my shoulder. I play song after song, pouring every drop of emotion i can conjure up from the depths of my soul, into every note.

She still stands there tears streaming down her ashen cheeks.

I stop playing and look at her. She drops her hand to her side and walks away.

I hear murmurs and sobs. Then silence. The lights in the house flicked of and I am engulfed in darkness...

*narrator*

You sit back and watch the stars. Suddenly you realise how lonely the world is. It's strangely pleasing, being alone.

Dan.

"I need to know what's happened to us, no argument, no fight, no betrayal. No honesty..." You say to the moon.

It says nothing, yet that silence was exactly what Dan would have said. Nothing.

Maybe this 'thing' is as portrayed, nothing.

You're a fan girl, he's a fan boy.

It seemed ideal.

But since you've been together only bad things have happened to you both.

It's dangerous for you two to be together.

One of you will end up dying.

You would kill each other.

But you love each other, unconditionally.

More than anything else that has, does or will ever exist.

Your phone buzzes.

Dan: I need you to promise that you will give me what I deserve.

Y/N: Dan, I will. But please understand that all i will give you is love because that you deserve.

Dan: You may change your mind soon.

He tells you about the deal with Jim.

You cry into your hands.

Your knees buckle and you fall to the floor, you're sweating and crying.

You breathe slowly to calm yourself down.

You sit up and text Dan.

Dan: Please just say something, anything.

Y/N: Don't blame you're self.

Dan: What?

Y/N: Jim is a monster, he killed her, he used you.

Dan: Will you come back?

Without answer you rush over and hug Dan from behind.

"I'll take that as a yes" Dan laughs.

He spins round and hugs you properly.

He sits you down and you lie down together.

His hands are snaked around your waist again.

His face is buried in your hair again.

His kisses mean something again.

You're in his arms again...
