Airplanes and waterfalls (part 1)

(April 5th)

Dan's planned a trip to Hawaii, just you, Phil, joe, Caspar and him. A casual get away, Zoe and Alfie were invited but they had other plans.

You threw clothes and toiletries into your bag and look at Dan (doing the same.) Phil knocked on the door and opened it slowly, a smile grew on his lips, pinching at his cheeks.

"Dan, where's the keys?" Phil asked.

Dan pointed behind Phil and laughed. Two weeks, just calm, no anxieties, no worries, no anger or tension. Just good fun and friends... And Dan...

Phil leaps into the taxi, followed by you, then Dan. You pull into the car park outside joe's apartment and ring the door bell. They rush out.

Joe wiggles the sun glasses that rested on the bridge of his nose. "Look out Hawaii, joe's on the way!" He said gripping his collar proudly.

Dan rolls his eyes and edges him into the taxi.

At the airport your phone buzzes,

Zoe: Have a good time! Watch Joe, he will flirt with any women he sees, good luck!

Y/N: Thanks, Dan's restraining him! See you soon!

You find your seats and shuffle past families and couples that littered the walk ways.

Dan held onto your hand and lead you though the crowds. You squeeze his hand and kiss his cheek as you sit next to him.

Phil sits beside you and begins to chat away to Dan.

Joe and Caspar are in front of you, it feels like you're on a school trip. Surrounded by your friends, you couldn't feel happier. Joe poked Caspar making him laugh and push joe gently.

The murmurs of the other passengers fade away, you can only hear Dan, Phil, joe and Caspar. You are encased in a bubble of friendly conversation and laughter.

"Oh my god, in a few hours we will be in Hawaii!" Phil said.

"I know! It's exciting!" You reply shoving his shoulder excitedly.

You look at your left hand, your fingers are intertwined with Dan's, he rubs the beck of your hand with his thumb and kisses your neck gently. So quickly that he can respond to Phil without delay as if he never stopped to kiss you. You blush and make eye contact with Dan, he winks at you and smirks cheekily.

You bite your lip and stare at the ground shyly.

It takes a little while for your cheeks to return to their usual pale complexion.

As the sun sets you hear a loud snore from joe's mouth, his head has slid onto Caspar's shoulder. They look adorable, just sleeping.

Dan kisses your head and strokes your hair delicately. You feel your eyes get heavy. Slowly you lean onto Dan's body and place a small hand on his chest. His arm coils around your waist and pulls you closer, you both fall asleep, his heart beat soothing. The only lullaby you ever needed.
