Chapter 33
(New Plan)
Medusa sighed as she walked through a temple dedicated to Epilates in the country of Slovakia. It was odd really. Somehow a group of mortals had made a correlation between The God of Nightmares and vampires. It puzzled the snake haired woman but then there were a lot of things mortal humans did that puzzled her.
“My Lady?” Medusa turned to see a young woman with long brown hair in a braid curtsy to her.
‘Lady?’ She thought to herself with silent amusement. The gorgon woman wondered if the girl would still address her with such reverence if she could see her currently covered snake hair. “Yes?” She said neither kind nor cruel.
“You said to be notified if anyone saw the winged creatures leave,” The mortal girl said. “They left a moment ago.”
Medusa nearly growled before briskly walking past the temple’s servant. ‘I’m going to put a chain around their necks!’ She silently swore. “They’d had to change locations three times in the last week because of their carelessness and she was about ready to agree with Echidna and get rid of them once and for all.
“Enyo!” She called out angrily.
“You rang?” The dark haired woman said appearing not far away. She took one look into her angry eyes and growled. “Not again!”
“Yes. You and Nemesis need to round them up and chain them to a wall!” Medusa ordered.
“I vote you turn them to stone,” Nemesis declared looking every bit as annoyed as her fellow goddess and the gorgon woman.
“Have to catch them first,” Echidna said walking in. She looked at Medusa and said, “Any ideas about how to deal with our situation?” She asked.
“Get the Harpies back then we’ll make a plan.” The two goddesses nodded and disappeared to find the unruly harpy duo.
“You don’t know do you?” Echidna commented.
“We need leverage,” Medusa told the snake woman. The mortal appearing woman gave a nod of agreement. “Unfortunately Aphrodite has derailed our original plan.”
“We’re not getting Amphitrite now,” Echidna agreed.
Medusa walked over by a vine along the wall before an idea suddenly formed. “We can’t get Amphitrite. Alexandra could be anywhere; along with her friends.”
“You have an idea forming,” The snake woman said seeing the frustration fade from Medusa’s face. “What are you thinking?”
“Epilates!” Medusa called.
“You yell rather often,” He said annoyed.
