The Plan for Jason
“Mumma!” Sebastian’s voice yelled Monday morning and it woke me up. He jumped onto the bed and onto George; which made George wake up and I laughed. “Mumma! Fred and Rose are fighting over the TV again.”
“Of course they are.” I yawned and moved the covers. “I’ll get them to stop.” I lazily got out of bed as George grabbed Sebastian and started tickling him. In the sitting room, Fred and Paige were wresting over the remote. I went over to them and said, “Remote.” The twins sighed and Fred handed me the remote. “Thank you.” I turned off the TV and put the remote on top of the bookshelf.
“Aw, Mum!” They complained.
“No. I’m tired of you two fighting over it. Either go play upstairs or outside while I fix breakfast.”
“Fine.” They groaned and walked up the stairs.
I smiled and rolled my eyes before making my way into the kitchen. I got the eggs, bacon, and toast started making itself just as George and Sebastian came into the room. Sebastian ran over to me and growled. I laughed as he wrapped his arms around my leg. “What are you doing?” I asked him.
“Daddy said I’m a lion.” He explained and growled again.
“Well, do you know what lions like to do?” I looked into his eyes.
“What?” His eyes widened with excitement.
“Attack his older brother and sister.” I grinned.
“Yay!” He exclaimed and ran out of the kitchen.
George and I laughed and he wrapped his arms around. “In five years and three months he’ll be exclaiming that because he got into Gryffindor.” George said.
“That he will.” I smiled and kissed his lips. “Are you staying for breakfast?”
“Yes. Are you bringing lunch today?”
“Yes.”
“Are you gonna make extra in case we see Jason today?”
I nodded. “Yeah. Maybe he’ll come into the shop today.”
“Hopefully.”
“I really want to help him, George.”
“I know.” He hugged me tight. “Me too.”
I looked at the table and noticed the food was done. George and I parted and I went to the stairs in the sitting room. “Fred! Paige! Sebastian! Breakfast is ready!” I yelled up the stairs and went back into the kitchen.
The kids joined us as the table a second later and we all started eating. Fred was shoving food in his face and I knew he inherited that from his dad. Sebastian and Paige ate slowly and they got that from me. It amazing how different the kids were but also how much they had in common. George was done eating first and he put his plate in the sink. He then kissed the kids on the cheek and came over to me. “I’ll see you at noon.” He said.
