Chapter two:
Amy's POV
After dinner it began raining so we all crowded in the lounge room. It was only my family and the Lynch's that were still here. We all sat around watching a movie. I noticed Riker walk in and sit next to Rydel. They started whispering stuff to each other. They better not be talking about what I think they're talking about. "Lynch's come on. Time to leave!" Stormie said as she walked into the lounge room. "Aww, but Mom, that good part is about to come up." Ross said standing up. "Come on." She said, "Fine!" Rocky said, "anyways, Ross you have to have wake up early, you have rehearsals tomorrow." Mark reminded him. "Guys lets go." Ross said, "Yes, Bossy Lynch." Rydel teased him and come over to me. "Thanks for having me Mr and Mrs Walker." Rydel said, and hugged me and passed me her phone as we exchanged numbers. "No problem. Come over anytime." My Dad said, and everyone left. "We'll I'm going to bed" I announced and walked up stairs into my room. I just into my pyjamas and got into bed and my iPhone brighten up. I noticed it was a text from an unknown number.
- Hey Amy, it's Riker. We met before. I'm sorry I hardly spoke to you. 🙊 I wanna make it up to you. Do you wanna go on a date with me? To Get Shaved 🍧 or an Ice cream place? 🍦 Or a FroYo place? 🍨 It's okay if you don't, I mean you just got out of a relationship, that's totally fine. Well, good night beautiful. 🌻 I'll talk to you later? Maybe? 😘
I giggled at all of his emojis. I smiled. His sounds like a really sweet guy. So I texted him back even though it was getting late.
- Sure. I'd love you go on a date with you. When? Cute emojis.
Riker's POV
We were all sitting inside watching a movie. I kept glancing at Amy. She was so beautiful. Her hair was in a messy bun, and she was in a pair of really cute shorts and just tank top. "It's rude to stare." Rydel whispered. "I'm sorry." I whispered back. "Just ask for her number." She whispered, "No." I whispered back. "You ask, and then I'll get it off you." I whispered, "And why would I do that?" She whispers back. "Please, help your favourite brother out. Just this once." I whispered. "Fine." She whispered back. We all got back to leave and we said our good byes. We hoped in the car and dad drove us home.
Rocky raced to our room and shut the door to get changed. "Dude, come on. Open up!" I said banging on it and Rydel walked passed. "Delly, did you get it?" I asked, "Yeah. I did." She said, "So can I have it?" I asked in a pleading tone. "Fine. Only if-" she said, "I'll do anything you want. I'll paint your nails, I'll go shopping with you." I said, "You owe me one." She said, "I sure do." I said and she gave me the number and I hugged her. "You're the best sister ever." I exclaimed. "Keep your voice down or someone will know something's going on." She said and left me in the hall way and she went to her room. I jumped a little in side.
I went into my room and while Rocky was having a shower I quickly texted Amy. I was kind hoping she would text me back even though it's late at night. I put my phone down and put my sweatpants on but stayed topless and hoped into bed. I just turned my lamp of when my phone buzzed, and there was a test from Amy. I could've squealed like a girl, thank god I didn't because Rocky walked out of the bathroom.
- Are you free tomorrow? Around three-ish. Maybe? It's going to be hot tomorrow. ☀
I replied. Not long after I got a reply.
- It's going to be hot tomorrow? Are you only saying that because I'm going on a date with you?
She asked. Then said.
- Yeah, three is good.
I chuckled at her sense of humour.
- Can I meet you at the park at quarter to three?
I asked her. This date wasn't to formal, so I thought if we catch my it might be more subtitle.
- Sure. Why'd you stop using emojis? I miss them. 😢
She replied. "Who you texting?" Rocky asked, "N-no one. Just checking stuff." I said, "Yeah. Stuff." Rocky mimicked me. "Whatever." He said and got into his bed. "Night Rikes. And can you turn the brightness down on that?" He asked, "I have school tomorrow." He said being all serious at the end. "Fine." I said and turned my brightness down.
- I'm sorry. I'll see your beautiful face tomorrow. 😉
I wasn't afraid that she had a beautiful face. Because she did.
