My Sweet Prince (Male! Snow White x Reader fanfic)

Chapter 3

"No! (y/n)~! Don't leave!!!" My grandomother grabbed my hand as I was at the door.

"I'm not leaving granny! I've made the food and put tin foil around it for longer warmth.. And I've cleaned your bedroom so you can sleep at night without me." I said.

"But deary... Nothing's the same without you..! What would happen when I have to tinkle?" She asked.

"You still have your walking stick so you can at least do it without me right? Look granny..." I said and put a hand on her shoulder. "I don't want to leave you as much as you don't want me to but I have a job in the castle and I'm helping our king and queen out there..!" I lied to her.

I don't think I'm helping the queen and king out but I just really need her to let go of me for now..

"Oh who cares about those crazy royalty! They never let us poor souls meet them anyway! You should start working at a bakery or something.. I don't want my daughter to work for those evil people." She humphed and slowly creaked to the sofa and sat down holding her back as it felt very painful.

"Well grandma... How about I don't leave then? I'll read you a story and you should take a nap... You don't look very well." I suggested.

"Oh you would do that for me deary~? Oh how sweet..!" She answered and tried to stand up.

I helped her go to her bedroom and turned on the candle light. I took one of grandma's most favorite of stories named 'Sleeping Beauty'.

"And the sleeping beauty woke up from her slumber.." I glanced at my grandmother and it seems she was already sound asleep.
I took the chance and kissed my grandma on her cheek, "Sweet dreams granny."

I quietly went out of the bed and ran to the castle.

"I'm late!" I shouted.
People I passed by in my neighbourhood greeted me as they went back inside their house for preparing dinner.
"Eric is going to kill me for this..!"

I arrived at the castle drenched in sweat so horribly that I was scared I smelled really bad but I would probably just deal with it. Probably  use a tissue to wipe it all or something..
Hopefully I don't meet that annoying Eric guy...

There's apparently less butlers and maids here so it's quite creepy though I know that Eric's here because he's the manager of almost everything in this castle which I feel pretty sorry for him now.

"Ms. (y/n), there you are. You're-" I heard behind me and I continued for him. "Late? Yeah... Sorry it's my.. Um grandma again.."

"Turn around." He demanded.

I turn around and didn't want to look at his reaction so I looked down shamefully. Actually rather than shameful.. I was scared..

"Do you actually think people would wait for you for 2 hours? I think you are quite selfish for having to do that." He said.

"Yes sir.. I'm very sorry. I'll try to come earlier next time. Please let me go for today.." I pleaded.

"Make sure to come earlier or I'll have you fired. Ahem.. Anyway the maid you're taking over for is actually taking care of the garden so go there and do the work I taught you last time." He said and walked away.

"Yes sir.." I said and drifted off into the garden.

Hmph! It's just cuz he doesn't have parents that he doesn't know what it feels like to take care of our elders.. Give me a break will ya?..

I started to tend to the flowers and tried to relax with the nature surrounding me and the fresh smelling evening breeze which I have never smelled before in my neighborhood which the air was always filled with smoke from the continuous hard work there.
After doing multiple rows of flowers, I went to care for another row.

"Rawr...!" A sound came from the bushes across the ones I was standing near from. I turned my head around and saw something I would never thought would ever happen.

"Shh... Someone will know we're here.." A soft whisper was the last thing I would imagine coming from his mouth near that thing...

The tiger saw me and hissed. The black haired prince turned his head and saw me in his vision.

"(y-y/n)..?!" Snow looked at me in terror.

"My p-prince?" I looked quite shock to see him there holding the baby tiger in his hands looking quite healthy rather than sick.

"What are you doing h-here?!" He stuttered.

"I..! I was told to take the roll of the maid who couldn't come today..! Please forgive me! I'll go away..!" I bowed and ran away.

"Wait! (y/n)!" I heard him calling behind me.

Damn I'm so stupid.. If I had seen that I should have hid behind those bushes near me or something! Gosh.. Why am I even running away?! It's not my fault I saw him there!

"Eeeek!!!" I screamed as Snow blocked me from the entrance of the garden. He's a fast runner it seemed..

"(y/n) what's wrong? You didn't have to run away from me. It's like you were running away from a murderer or something." He asked.

"S-sorry! I didn't mean to offend you, my feet ran on it's own." I said trying hard to even my breathing.

The baby tiger ran up to us and looked at me very cautiously. It slowly walked to Snow but never leaving it's eyes from me. It's eyes were wild, not the calm type of eyes pet cat's you would own at home. It appeared the small fury animal had a green left eye and a blue colored one at the other. Out of consciousness, my right foot retracted back and the tiger growled at me viciously.

"Ah! Now now Elvres..." Snow picked it up and looked at it in the eye. "She's not a mean lady.. She's my friend, you can trust her." He said.

The baby tiger looked back at me and stared for awhile then it's eyes returned back to a calm state.
I was quite attracted to it's eyes. They seem to manipulate me in a way.

"(y/n).. Please don't tell anyone he's here... He was all alone at the forest and he was wounded badly. He was in my room two nights ago but it seems he got out when I was sleeping. I searched for him in the middle of the night and he wasn't there so I didn't sleep at all yesterday. But I fainted due to my cold.. Or was it fever? I can't remember anymore. I was basically sleeping the whole day yesterday." He stated.

"So that's why you ordered for a bowl of milk then?" I asked.

"Yes that's right! I was thinking of luring him to my room but he wouldn't come in my room. So I visited him here." He said. "But now that he's in my hands.."

The baby tiger looked at Snow looking quite terrified.

"Why don't you come to my room for awhile? I would like to get to know you better.." The prince happily said with his charming smile.
