A few months later, in which they are now best friends.

As Hoseok lazily rolled on his bed, his phone went of for the fourth time. At this point, he could care less who it was; he wanted them to shut up. He picked up his phone, looking at the messages being sent. Hoseok groaned, reading the culprits contact name.
'Mean Man.'
He rattled off a reply, rubbing his eyes. He knew that Jungkook was only trying to annoy him, but really? At 7 in the morning?

Message Received 7:48 AM

Mean Man: Hey

Mean Man: Hey Hoseok

Mean Man: Hoooooseok

Mean Man: U should come to the coffee shop

You: I hope you know I am still older than you and if I come down there with you speaking like that I WILL be hitting you

Mean Man: o rip

Mean Man: nah

You: Petty.

Mean Man: Oh look, Tae just came in

Mean Man: I guess I don't need u anymore

You: I'll be there in 10

Hoseok threw the covers off, quickly shuffling to his closet to put on a proper set of clothes. He wasn't jealous, he just didn't like Jungkook saying he didn't need Hoseok. That's what he wanted to believe, at least.

He headed out after getting ready, eventually making it to the small bakery. He dramatically opened the door, loudly announcing his arrival as the customers (and employees) all turned to glare at him. Jungkook quickly ran to Hoseok's proud form, enveloping him in a hug. The elder ordered as per usual, sitting at the open table by the window. Kim Taehyung, who was surprisingly actually there, sat across from him, flashing a distant smile as Jungkook pulled off his brown apron to join them. He took a seat next to Taehyung, handing Hoseok his coffee and Tae a small Cake Roll. Both of their faces lit up, quickly smiling at Jungkook, practically blessing him for the treats he provided. Hoseok got to work sipping on his drink, conversing with the two men in front of him. The whole time Taehyung was giving Hoseok a sad look, but he paid no mind to it as he and Jungkook joked with eachother. They chatted for awhile before Taehyung left, saying he had to go shopping with a friend named 'Seokjin.' Jungkook stayed, despite the countless pleas from Tae. Once he was gone, though, Jungkook quickly pulled out his phone, texting the man sitting directly across from him.

Message Received 8:27 AM

Mean Man: Hoseok

Mean Man: Hoseok look at your phone

Mean Man: I KNOW YOU CAN SEE THESE I JUST SAW YOU PULL OUT YOUR CELLULAR DEVICE

You: Why are you texting me

You: You're literally sitting right in front of me

Mean Man: Because it's super awkward now and I can't deal with subtle confrontation

Mean Man: Deal with it

You: I mean, if I could handle your bullshit for almost five months, I can get over something like this.

>>Right?

Mean Man: I'd hope

You: Mm

Mean Man: Was that a sexual text?

You: What

Mean Man: 'Mm.' Are you sexting a minor?

Mean Man: Cause it looks like sexting to meeee

You: It was a non-verbal response, you idiot

Dummy: That's what they all say, u perv. Tsk, Tsk.

Dummy: Are you sure u aren't an 80 year old man who is undercover and potentially going to rape me for the sole purpose of stealing my absolute purity??

You: The world may never know

Dummy: 🌚

You: 🌝

Dummy: Anyways,,

Dummy: Would this be considered a date

You: Um?

Dummy: Cause

Dummy: I consider it one

You: Oh

You: Oh.

Dummy: Is it awkward now

You: No

You: Well, kinda.

You: But it's not a bad awkward? It's more of an 'ok awkward' that I can deal with

Hoseok looked up, seeing Jungkook smiling at his phone. He was blushing slightly, the illuminated electronic making it that much more obvious. He chuckled, locking his phone. As he set it on the table, Jungkook looked up, quickly smiling at Hoseok.

"Are you sure this isn't awkward?"
He shyly asked.
