This is the last semi-sad chapter, I swear
Takes place a little over a year before Hoseok and Jungkook meet
*Even though it had been months since Hoseok had left Taehyung, the younger still occasionally popped into his head. He had tried every method he could to forget about his ex-lover, but everything always failed.
That was, until he once again thought of the Ambien.
It was a pill that helped him with his insomnia, and it always worked.
It wouldn't be difficult to take a larger dose to help him forget, right?
Wrong.
The overdose on Ambien left him in a drug induced coma, and he only woke up after weeks of silence. It hurt him. It really hurt him. He forgot much more than Taehyung, let alone the lack thereof. He went home with more pills than he arrived with, and had to take them for months before he was ok again.
'Ok' a sense meaning he could be happy.
After the incident, he met lots of kind people, including the cute barista who worked at the cafe near his house.
After becoming close to Jungkook, he even met a sweet guy who went by the name Taehyung.
He became close to both of them, even taking Jungkook out for a Christmas dinner!
And that's what lead to the present, on a very special Christmas Evening.
**
"What do you mean? I said you didn't have to get me a gift, Jungkook," Hoseok groaned.
"You're going to love it, I swear," Jungkook promised, pulling his scarf up.
As they turned the corner, Jungkook's grip tightened, and he suddenly stopped in front of a large Christmas tree.
The tree was bright enough to light up the whole area, and the small ornaments littering the tree made a great addition. Jungkook released his hand, "What's your favorite color, Hoseok? Green, correct?"
He nodded.
Hoseok watched as Jungkook pulled two ornaments out of his coat pocket, smiling even wider.
"Where would you like to hang them?"
"I dunno.. There," He said and pointed. "Not as many."
Jungkook nodded, handing Hoseok the dark green decor.
"So.. Why are we putting ornaments on a large Christmas tree in the middle of downtown Seoul?"
"It's not a normal Christmas tree, Hyung," Jungkook scoffs. "It's a special tree! All couples put them on trees, so we should, too! And since this one is so pretty, it's more memorable."
"So you planned for us to start a relationship tonight?" Hoseok questioned, standing on his tip-toes to reach one of the empty branches.
"Of course I did! Do you really think I would just let you get away on such a special day?"
"Yes."
Jungkook groaned, "You think so lowly of me. Sometimes I feel unloved!"
"Maybe you are."
"If I am, then you wouldn't have agreed to date me," Jungkook chuckled, easily placing the colored glass on one of the higher branches.
Hoseok shrugged, grabbing Jungkook's hand before walking off.
"You said there was something else, right?"
"Indeed I did," Jungkook said, a small cloud of air escaping his mouth as he breathed only to disappear moments later.
Jungkook lead him to another location, covering Hoseok's eyes as they neared.
"Where the hell are you taking me? And if you say you're about to strip me of my clothes and have men bid for my body, I'm going to kick you in the nuts."
Jungkook laughed, finally removing his hand, "We're already here, dumbass."
Hoseok couldn't help but smile. Its the corner cafe, yet this time, it's decorated with Christmas lights, and all the employees inside seem to be waiting for their arrival.
"Merry Christmas, Hoseok!" Jungkook shouted, opening the door to reveal a two-person table with two small mugs of coffee and a few candles. The workers inside all grin, one of them even removing their apron to politely pull out the two chairs. They both sit, the brown-haired employee shuffling away.
"Soooo, what do you think?"
"I think I'm gonna punch you. You're too sappy, Jungkook."
Jungkook only laughed, raising his mug to tap it against Hoseok's.
"Merry Christmas, again," Jungkook said a bit quieter. "I hope I made it a little better."
"You make everything better, Jungkook. Merry Christmas to you, as well."

I haven't seen many pictures of Jungkook and Hoseok together lately so I'm just guessing that the baby is taller than Hobi
