The first thought that Hoseok had was to call Jungkook.

He wouldn't be asleep, right? It's only 4 am, it's not like Jungkook ever slept anyways..

Besides, he would stay awake long enough to comfort Hoseok.
That's what he promised, at least.

Nightmares may not be the most common thing for him, but the ones he had were violent and terrifying.

It always ended with his pillow moist with salty tears.

Always.

But now, he had someone to call.

He wasn't alone anymore.
...
For the most part.

He wiped the small bead of sweat off his head, and dialed the number. He knew he would eventually be made fun of for it, but at the moment he just needed some comfort.

Even if he would get his head chewed off for waking up sleeping beauty at an ungodly hour.

"Hyung, I swear to god. It's 4:26 in the morning, and I'd rather not be speaking to you about ladybugs like la-"

"Jungkook, do you ever have nightmares?" He quietly asked.

"I," there's a pause."Um, yeah? Sometimes, I guess. It depends. Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I mean, no. Not really," he slurs.

"Should I come over? Do you need some company?"

"It's too early, I don't want you driving at this time of night. But if we could talk for awhile, that would be nice."

Jungkook was quiet for a short moment, soon speaking up.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"Not especially. How about you tell me what you're going to do today? Or, how work was yesterday?" He suggested.

Another pause.

"Well, yesterday was a really interesting day. A lady came in with the craziest outfit on, and ordered a blazing hot frappe. Not only that, but she ordered almost 20 cakes. It was kinda scary. After that, my friend came in, and started crying about how some girl he met awhile back dumped him. I had to feed him at least 3 brownies before he calmed down, but he didn't even thank me! Sometimes, that man is so ungrateful. Anyways, the last interesting thing didn't happen until I was about to leave, when this dude with White hair tried to get his buddy to kiss him. I mean, it was really funny, but I feel bad for the other dude," he gushed. "And today, I'm hoping it won't snow. I mean, the forecast calls for it, and I'll be inside for most of the day, but I don't wanna walk home in it. I could use the car, but I don't want to waste gas. Especially if my work is so close, you know?"

"Yeah, I do."

"But snow is also fun! I can make snowmen, and I can stay inside and cuddle under a ton of blankets, and I can even drink hot cocoa whenever I want!"

"Yeah, that's the best. The cocoa, I mean. And, that sure did sound like an interesting day you had; does it happen often?"

"No. These things usually occur when holidays come near, like now."

"Makes sense."

"Yeah."

Hoseok thought for a moment.

"Sorry for waking you, Jungkook."

"It's alright, Hyung. You needed me, so I don't really mind as much. I'm sorry for being so aggressive at first," he timidly apologized.

"Um, it's not a problem.. You should go back to sleep, yeah? I know you have to head to work in a few hours.."

"Oh, right! You try and rest too, okay? Try and come tomorrow, I might be able to give you a drink, on the house."

"Ok," he mumbled. "Good night, Jungkook."

"Good night, Hyung."
